MQX87511 5th Gear June 5, 2016 Share June 5, 2016 LTA is revising CEvS end of this month. This civic turbo is just 1 mark fall under $5000 rebate, not sure what will be the outcome after revision. But car is not here yet,so LTA have not test. I rather it has no CEVS rebate US spec with almost same bhp andtorque claim 7.2 sec Any idea why ours is slow poke ? 0-100 speed is variant of ambient temperature and altitude, Singapore weather is too hot compare to USA
Arch1984 4th Gear June 5, 2016 Share June 5, 2016 How much more if one is not taking loan for the 1.5T?
ktnpl 3rd Gear June 5, 2016 Share June 5, 2016 (edited) I read a lot of reviews mentioning that the HP for the new Civic 1.5T is 174 but our local specs sheet indicated only 170.5. That could be one of the reasons for the slower acceleration. Edited June 5, 2016 by ktnpl
Arch1984 4th Gear June 5, 2016 Share June 5, 2016 Specs indicate 173. Same as Thai model. The low 0 - 100 could be due to how the CVT is programmed plus environmental factors as well.

Arch1984 4th Gear June 5, 2016 Share June 5, 2016 Yeah. U are right. But doubt the extra 1 sec is all due to the 4bhp.

Detonator8 Clutched June 5, 2016 Share June 5, 2016 Looks like Honda is coming back aggressively to be in the game. The new civic looks quite certain to make a mark in global sales. Welcome back Honda.

allies28 Neutral Newbie June 6, 2016 Share June 6, 2016 Any idea what is the latest price for the 1.5T version? Could not find the price of 1.5T version in Kah Motor's price list. Anybody managed to get any additional freebies/discount other than the standard items?
josephkalaivanar 1st Gear June 6, 2016 Share June 6, 2016 Honda also launched the Civic Turbo RS at Bangkok International Auto Show in March. From what I can tell, the main difference between this RS 1.5T model and the Standard 1.5 are the rear spoiler, auto-dimming rear-view mirror, steering wheel paddle shifters and alloy pedals. Quite likely the RS version is similar to the US Touring model...which imho is the model to get. Can't wait to see if they release an Si version. That would be a pocket rocket for sure.

Bitauren 1st Gear June 6, 2016 Share June 6, 2016 Why sg last to get the civic ah? Most expensive civic in the world but last to get
Cheefarn 5th Gear June 6, 2016 Share June 6, 2016 Why sg last to get the civic ah? Most expensive civic in the world but last to get Prob Thailand factory gave us the lowest possible priority. Since we are prob the ONLY country in ASEAN, or all the countries where Thailand made Hondas are sold, to tell the factory NOT to install this and that. I think KM ordered the Hondas here WITHOUT aircon compressor just like BM did to Toyota. No leather seats nor factory HU.... and probably with open steel wheels too. All these to keep the OMV down. They will instal all these when the cars are in SG. Parts are not subjected to any taxes.
