Oic. Thanks for the info.

So after confirming and paying the $$$, car collection will be after all the installations are done?

Haha. 1st time buyer of new car.

Trying to also check on what to take note during the initial 1k run in.:(

yup.. once installation all/almost done, a date will be given for car to be delivered to MI TPY, SE will plan a date to register car, then collect car the next day.

1k run in just take it easy. there's a video link in one of the thread about running in engine. But quick one,

don't rev above 4k

try to work the rev across the rpm, try not hold constant at one rpm

try not to hard braking unless emergency to prevent uneven wear on rotor.

other than that, just enjoy the ride..

when take over car, make sure you check thru the car thoroughly (exterior & interior), note down anything to be rectified during 1k servicing. once you drive out of MI they not liable liao.

I've just gotten reply from tube accessories dept, the front parking sensor is 220 for 2 point sensor and 280 for 4 point sensor. they'll install a small display screen on the dashboard and there's a switch to on off it. basically I think it'll be like the Forester one.

The display will just show bar/distance?

Thanks. Very helpful info to guide this new car noob. Haha

Yah, understood the taking over car will take 1 -2 hrs in ensuring everything is done and proper.

Guess now is the waiting game on the COE.

Also remember to get documents required to claim for unused car insurance premium for your traded-in old car (if you trade in with MI).

You need to check with your existing car's insurance company to confirm what documents needed.

That's battery for blackvue. Now I can record when car is parked overnight.

There was a 20% offer last weekend.

A bit risky to install from 3rd party. MI claim the fuse box is also a 'computer', u'll risk something shorting.

Thanks for the reminder.

Didn't trade in old car to MI, but yes understand can claim both the unused insurance + road tax.

Btw, 1 qn on car plate.

Will there be a choice of few car plate numbers? Or random among the target range?

SE mention they can only advise a range.

Bcos if random, thinkg of retaining my existing car plate.
