Nothing wrong with Bolo and nothing wrong with Benteke

its just we don't play the style that suits their game.

Benteke should go to Chelsea cos Conte will play 3 3 4.

4 in front with 2 strikers and 2 wingers swinging in

a lot of crosses. I can see Big Ben scoring a lot for

Chelsea just hopefully not against us.

:D

Agreed.

As with Fernando Torres, he's a great finisher but the midfield failed to support him.

At Atletico Madrid, he is doing quite well.

Joe Allen is better than Hendon. Works hard and has great passes. Hendon can't pass...can only run like headless chicken.

Klopp work permit will be rejected and Pool will re hire Roy Hodgeson or Brendan Rogers  [laugh]

And I thought Brexit was bad enough.

This is a disaster.

It was an omen.

We had our own BRexit last year already, it was for the better.

The RHexit earlier was also quite right...

Hopefully this will not be a joke ... Liverpool will step up their efforts to sign Southampton’s Sadio Mane next week as they seek to complete a £30 million deal.

Liverpool would seek to recoup much of the money they spend on the Senegal international by selling striker Christian Benteke, who has struggled after his £32m switch from Aston Villa. [bBC]

IF someone wants to buy him. Now lukaku is ahead of him. The most ppl will offer is 15m for him. I'll b surprise if pool can get more than 25m.

I always thought Joe Allen is better than Henderson.

When Henderson looks to be better than Allen, that is because he makes up for it with his energetic running.

The only reason why Joe Allen doesn't seem to be the Joe Allen back in his Swansea days is probably due to the fact that his role was not that of a target man in the middle. He was the main man in the middle back in Swansea and my guess is that the team respected and trust him enough to pass the ball to him to make the run forward and distribute.

At Liverpool he seems more like a backup rather than a main man. Otherwise, he is being played like a holding midfielder, or last minute sub to replace tired legs in the middle.

I do hope Klopp can keep him and gets the team to play around him, making Allen the focal point in the middle. Henderson should be played in matches where his energy will be an advantage. i.e. to man marked some important opponents or as a sub to run down opponents.

That's exactly right.

At Swansea he is the playmaker and Leon Britton is the water carrier.

At Liverpool the one with the name that cannot be mentioned made him the water carrier

when he is too small to tackle and his playmaking skills are not fully used.

not too sure bout this...

If we are looking to challenge for top 4 at least, Joe Allen is not the man to build our team around. i think he is a first team squad player, but not natural first choice for any club with ambition.

Joe Allen does not play make, he water carries further up the pitch vs Leon Britton thats all.

i see many singing his praises, for me, all he does is run around, headlessly like how most describe henderson. within defensive 3rd, he gets outmuscle so many times and some results in our GA column.

Alonso was our last great play maker, sadly non of our current first choice mf can replicate anything near 70% of Alonso.

I quite agree. Joe Allen can be better than Henderson, but he's not at the level where you can trust to ensure that the club can challenge for honours regularly. It's a pity that we don't have anyone in that bracket to even involve in the discussion - we really need to either buy or develop someone into that bracket quickly if we are really ambitious.

Can has some potential, but is still not there yet.

i still think henderson is better than allen. the captaincy weighing him down perhaps, and his heel injury

this man was offered as makeweight for the fulham striker and refuses to go but to fight for his place. for that alone, he is worth more than allen to pool. ohh he stand up to Diego Costa too. Allen will be bullied

Can need to processed the game quicker in his head and release the ball quicker from his boot
