Off topic abit, I'm driving the W213 E250 AMG Line, year 2016 model. Something funny abt this car's brakes (stock 4 pot AMG caliper), just at the moment when car is coming to complete stop, there wil be a sound/friction, as if the brake pad is making an uncomfortable  final contact with the rotor.

Online forums some say is normal, some say is not. I've tried changing pads and rotors, both original and OEMs. Issue did not go away. Both Cnc and outside workshops say is normal for E and S class, because car is heavy and hence brake is more "jiak".

Jus to make sure I'm not crazy, does any other E-class owners have this issue too? My c-class frens don't have this issue.

My 15 year cgi  also has the same thing, it is a sound  of the friction between the brake pads and rotors before the wheels come to complete stop. You will probably hear the same  the moment you release the brake before moving off.

I want to take back my word, I am sorry

today I paid attention to the car, it DOES makes that sound, forward and reverse

it is normal to me, my brain block it mentally 😅

however, I can make that sound disappear if I want to

if I deliberately ease off the brake pedal pressure proportional to the car speed when coming to a stop

it won't make that sound

if I drive normally

it makes that sound almost every time when it came to a stop

Thank you for your update, no need to be sorry! Now I feel slightly better, knowing my W213 is not the only one having this "sound" haha. I plan to change to Ioniq5 once the facelifted model arrives in SG, so hopefully no need to hear that sound for much longer lol.

Thanks again and have a great day ahead!

Quick check. How you all deal with diff size tyre? Rotate left right seems pointless. If need change any of the single tyre, high chances need change all 4... [bigcry]

U can Rotate ,nuthing wrong ,most times we travel on more Right turn than Left turn or verse versa .

If u bought used ,previous owner might go with dis stagger set up cos it looks cool & if yours is not or a Front wheel car ,it Juzz no point.

Go back to Standard set up .

Recently stumble upon a wshop who gives good Promo on Total(French) top of the Range Quartz 9000  at onli $98 with Filter.

Yr Coolant is Blue one ,saw one fella offering $13 for 1.5 Litres bottle ,dat is Cheap.

Remember Not to activatevyr Stop/Stop cos yr PFL got Cam gear sprocket & chain issues, dats the reason why must change yr oil sooner.

Enjoy
