teomingern Supercharged January 28, 2018 Share January 28, 2018 Matt is a funny chap and one of my favorite reviewers, but he's a bit of a Euro fanboy.Interesting that the Audi S5 costs almost the same money after discounts... I would expect the Stinger to undercut it by at least $5000...
flashbang Turbocharged January 28, 2018 Share January 28, 2018 Coming from sorento.really feel dwarfed sitting inside behind. And low too That's not an equal comparison, stinger isn't a SUV or MPV. The boxy shape of SUV/MPV will make it feel very spacious behind with the high roof and big windows. Low slung cars are meant to make you feel cocooned inside.

RogerNg_185295 6th Gear January 28, 2018 Share January 28, 2018 Cars in Singapore have always been the most expensive in the world ever since the stupid COE system was introduced and yeah a car here can buy 3-4 of the same car in almost any other country.Without Coe, the jams will be terrible

The taxation system here greatly skews the price differences. A small 20k price difference in US easily becomes 50-100k here.

So for all intents and purposes, an Audi S5 is $100,000 SGD more expensive than a Stinger GT 3.3L in Singapore.
BookerDyeno January 28, 2018 Share January 28, 2018 Isnt this the first result of Hyundai/Kia stealing BMW/Audi engineers and designers? I think its a good first stab. It will get some people to look at Kia who previously would not have. That said, I would not be interested. I would give them a couple of generations to fine tune/home their work before considering it.

Hyundai-Kia has hired a number of automotive superstars, in addition to Peter Schreyer and Albert Biermann. Luc Donckerwolke - former head of design at Lamborghini, Bentley (Lamborghini Murcielago was under his watch) Manfred Fitzgerald - former brand and design director at Lamborghini Sangyup Lee - former Bentley's exterior designer Pierre Leclercq - former brand design chief of BMW Will be interesting to watch this group over the next few years. One good step is to drastically improve the interior design and quality. Still really can't touch contis in tat aspect for now. Regardless, still really a good driver's car (u need to test drive it to realize this).

Machunk28 4th Gear January 29, 2018 Share January 29, 2018 bro you test drove already? whats your take? Responsive throttle, handling is pretty good, grips r firm, enough for day to day drive (2L test driven). Although it feels a little floaty at times. Not bad for a Kia... ↡ Advertisement
