hehe my old car was non OPC. but I dun drive to work (office is in the city) on weekdays and only back from work after 7pm on weekdays.

 

So most of the time it is unused on weekday hours.

 

so no difference to usage pattern by going with OPC, might as well save the 17k.

 

can always convert back for a small admin fee if usage pattern changes.

btw I think there is already a Kia stinger Singapore owners group in Facebook

True, even the $17k off over a $160k like not much difference, but the saving on the road tax still can save a bit esp if you really dont use the car on weekdays, no point register the car on normal plate. Like you said, you can covert back the OPC to normal plate anytime de.

Mine is not guaranteed COE but i have gotten it the 1st round, don't need to worry too much about that.

I was at C&C Kia just now. Wanted to test drive the GT now that (I thought) the hype is over.

 

Still Need to make appt to test drive. Bookings to test is full till the weekend, earliest is next week.

Mine is not guaranteed COE but i have gotten it the 1st round, don't need to worry too much about that.

Its not that.. because only appointed SEs who have gone through the stinger training can test drive with u.

Have to la. Even though we usually know more than they do. You also don’t want a complete idiot on the model to give you the blank stare when you ask if it’s 4wd or rwd. Or worst try and smoke you.

I think some info still not very clear. hehe like what exactly the ICE consists of for the 9 spker syatem.

 

also the HUD is limited only to speedometer as they mentioned SG doesn't allow wireless connectivity for the cars

waiting to try the Giulia Super and 2 the Stingers.

 

also gian the 530 G30 but no balls to go test drive.

 

lastly, a COE renewed 997 (2011/12 model).

Forgot to mention hantu RadX’s name so I had to go test drive in my best Armani suit. They so impressed that i got extended test drive. But they dunno under the suit i wear Pagoda t-sirt, casio watch & Bata PVC leather shoe

haha sounds like what I was wearing when I went to look at the stinger and for test drive.

 

pretty much ignored until the SE realised I was serious abt their flagship.

 

if the stinger is reliable, pretty happy to drive it for a longer time!

just sharing some additional info I got.

 

for GT Line, the 9 speakers consist of:

2 speakers per front door (1 tweeter, 1 mid)

1 speaker per back door (1 component)

1 speaker at central dashboard area

2 mini woofers under each front seat.

 

All not powered by amplifier.

 

As for fuel grade, what I am told is that recommended is 98.

95 might make the engine feel rougher.

Haha, maybe saw you there. I was having a look around 2:30 I think........

 

First see the yellow one in the showroom. Looks really, really good, more so than the registered blue one upstairs. No idea how to keep clean a yellow one like that this is just so YELLOW!

 

Need to book a test drive, and if order now, wait till May or June.

 

After discounts and without any discussions, ~S$160k with 1yr servicing, dashcams, tints and paint protection.

 

A couple of things missing from the general specs but the most obvious was SatNav. It's 2018 people, that should be a given now, and no amount of Android Car / Google Maps discussion can assist that, especially if having to drive over the border. That, at the moment, is a pretty big minus sign on a car that is otherwise really good for the money and nice to look at on top.

 

haha i was there earlier. was in for 5 mins and left.

 

didn't really like the SE.. first impressions he gave me was he must be wondering with my looks, can i afford to buy anot. but to be fair, he was cordial.

 

asked him whats the price, he gave list price. i asked him what's the price now that COE has dropped, he replied new pricelist will only be out the next day and there won't be much difference since the price which is the same as the motorshow is already very good.

 

i just took a brochure with his namecard and threw it away after that. it's a chinese name.. no english name.. din bother. 

 

will look for another SE to arrange with. 

 

btw satnav is not a priority for me as i use waze from my phone which is more updated.
