I supposed its like those big bike rider. They can go fast, but you only see them zoom fast occasionally when its safe to do so.

My personal maxim:

Never drive faster than your guardian angel can fly.

All I can say is.. never say never.

I'm always very promiscuous when it comes to cars.

One moment Giulia, another G30, then COE renewed 911 and Stinger GT.

Some things holding me back.. like I mentioned a few pages ago when I sat inside the car at the motorshow, the feel isn't there.

See if I can request a test drive ba.

Economy still uncertain, scared to take the plunge also.

For sure you can request for a test drive. Let me know when leh.. I also very interested to examine this Stinger.

If one is starting from the basis of brand image n looking at a badge, no need to waste time taking a closer look at the Stinger. Consperm will not pass test

If only the 2 liters stinger have all the spec of the GT except the engines capacity then I think it will be a hot sell in singapore.

Lower road tax and insurance for a 2 liters car ,if I am not wrong, compare with a 3.3 liters car in singapore road.

Very hard to convince yourself on brand image if that is one of your concern. Its a good car, but still a KIA.

The difference in road tax for 2L and 3.3L is about $16k over 10 years.

Personally I find this digestable. The key attractive thing is that the car price for the 3.3L stinger is not that high a premium over the 2L comparatively to other car models with such options. This is not like a 2L vs 2.5L camry but A4/A5 vs higher end A4/A5 or even S4/S5 and some conti models that has 2L and 3L V6 versions of the same models.

Precisely, if one is already a badge whore then donât bother la.

It is becoz of the King Long badge that’s why its $200k.

If it wore a propeller, star or olympic badge, it’ll easily be >$300k and ppl still say cheep

Erm... you already said it right? You need to convince yourself about the brand image... frankly Kia got no brand image... how to convince yourself? Nobody at this point buys a Kia cos it's a Kia... but plenty of people buy Mercedes, BMW & Audi cos they are Mercedes, BMW & Audi... don't even need to look at specs...

No leh, having a faster car doesn't mean you will drive more recklessly.

Not reckless ... but the tendency to drive faster .   :D

Thats why they said , Power come with Responsibility   .

And yes , I am Superman  [grin]

Finally not forgetting what the Brain has to say; but emotions overide everything

Hello guys,

If you were to plough down money (which I would say, quite a lot for a Kia notwithstanding), which version would you go for:

2.0 GT or 3.3 GT Line?

My pocket says 2.0 GT, but my heart says 3.3 GT Line.

Good one.... angels go higher than Mach 10 speed +++++

My personal maxim:

Never drive faster than your guardian angel can fly.

The 2.0 has merely 246hp and people talk like it’s insanely powerful when 2xx hp cars have been a feature of the local automotive landscape for a long time. Regardless of power level, how quickly a car goes is up to the driver and his right foot.

The rave is on the GT, not the 2.0

How quickly a car goes depends on both engine power and right foot. Not regardless of power level.
