Haha, maybe saw you there. I was having a look around 2:30 I think........

First see the yellow one in the showroom. Looks really, really good, more so than the registered blue one upstairs. No idea how to keep clean a yellow one like that this is just so YELLOW!

Need to book a test drive, and if order now, wait till May or June.

After discounts and without any discussions, ~S$160k with 1yr servicing, dashcams, tints and paint protection.

A couple of things missing from the general specs but the most obvious was SatNav. It's 2018 people, that should be a given now, and no amount of Android Car / Google Maps discussion can assist that, especially if having to drive over the border. That, at the moment, is a pretty big minus sign on a car that is otherwise really good for the money and nice to look at on top.

yea. to add on a few other things I thought should be good to have:

1) Sat Nav

2) HUD to show navigation and other info besides speed

3) 360 Cameras

4) Driver Assist System (Forward collision warning etc)

These actually all exist in some trims of Stinger overseas.

But removed and not available in SG orders even if want to add on.

Yah I'm disappointed with the HUD with the speed indicator.

Better to just remove it, looks useless without any navigation/other info

haha i was there earlier. was in for 5 mins and left.

didn't really like the SE.. first impressions he gave me was he must be wondering with my looks, can i afford to buy anot. but to be fair, he was cordial.

asked him whats the price, he gave list price. i asked him what's the price now that COE has dropped, he replied new pricelist will only be out the next day and there won't be much difference since the price which is the same as the motorshow is already very good.

i just took a brochure with his namecard and threw it away after that. it's a chinese name.. no english name.. din bother.

will look for another SE to arrange with.

btw satnav is not a priority for me as i use waze from my phone which is more updated.

all the best in ur purchase! :)

yup, look for another SE. unless this one offers a better price. hahah.

The woman SE with me was okay......almost sounded bored with the number of people coming to look the cars over. Especially ones like us, look now and buy later (maybe) [;)] It's a little early for me to change, just coming up to 3yrs, but to be honest the amount of stuff Kia took out for the SG market is swaying me away - makes them look a bit cheap, despite the "freebies" they include at the moment. Better to up the price $2-3k and give us all the standard stuff.

SatNav is really useful on my trips up north and I don't want a) to clog up my phone with offline maps and b) use roaming data. I shouldn't also need to rely on a second device in 2018 when the car has a good size screen already.

actually waze on the phone is still better than ANY built in Navigation in ANY car.

Waze has traffic updates and an interactive mode to key in Police speed traps etc. which a built in unit will never have.

Built in Sat Nav is a waste of time. I hv Audi MMI on mine w goggle earth interface and never used it. Google maps or waze on phone so much quicker to use

wonder who will buy this, considering that a Stinger is cheaper and has close to 100 more horses.

Don’t say Stinger. At $175k its even more ex than a A4 2.0T

some just insist on badge and conti.

Some just need affirmation from peers that they too have reach a certain status and ignore all sensible reasons.

Some just insist they dont need that much power.

Buyer somehow buy cars for the strangest reason.

but OPEL?

Family had a Opel Vectra B. yucky car. and had to deal with GM rubbish. So no more GM and French cars. Rented a Chevy Cruze 1.8 in the US a couple of years back. also rubbish. slow gearbox and somehow 1.8 didn't feel like it.

Totally agree... I have no idea why my phone's GPS locks in so much faster than my car's satnav... the maps also need to pay to update, no real time traffic data, I think Google Maps or Waze is much better... and that's especially if you're driving overseas...

I have a 2015 Q50 and the GPS is rubbish at locking in and generally runs 20-30m behind where I actually am on the road, but what I like is seeing the lane markings and pictures of the signs etc. to better prepare directions and getting the right lane at junctions......not like Google Maps or HERE that only tells you Left, Right etc.

I use the in-built navigation any time I drive in Europe and whilst slow to enter address, the screen layout is really helpful with a lot of information, good on a 8" screen......not a 5-6" phone.

I guess we're renting a service so the maps are always updated... but for us an update could cost a few hundred bucks per pop... not quite worth if you asked me... Google Maps is pretty good enough... I'll try this time to drive from UK to Switzerland using only Google Maps on my phone... will buy an O2 SIM card with 3 GB of data which should be more than enough... cos I will use offline maps for long trips between cities but online maps for local navigation...

Still think that built-in SatNav on car is a waste of time especially in this part of the world. ‘It is 2018 people’, no real-time traffic info like Google Maps/Waze?

That’s why we need Apple and Google to integrate their service into car HU.

Driving up to north? Waze with data roaming unlimited $20/day will let you see where all the speed traps are, not to mention latest updates on congestion’s so that you will not stuck in traffic for hours unknowingly.

Built-in SatNav is much more useful in some part of Europe or US where I think they have some sort of public system to broadcast real-time traffic updates and cars or GPS units can pick up the signals and use accordingly. Seen that in rental BMW and Merc in Europe and Garmin GPS unit when I used it in US years ago. (Now I just turn on Waze with unlimited data $30/day in US/Europe.) Not fully sure how the whole system works though.
