Got disliked by someone and called a smart aleck for my 2 weeks plus ago post. Lol

What Iâm trying to say is that some owners do not care how servicing was done, let alone what type of engine oil mechanics used and whether they really meet the specs of the owners manual or not. Itâs meant to tip owners as such. We are here to share and Iâm not shaming anyone or implying that. If this person thinks that Iâm implying I am very smart, haha too bad. Iâm sharing my knowledge. Maybe he owns a workshop or like to service his AD car at a outside workshop. No problem, scared warranty but wanna service outside donât buy from AD lor. Simple.

There are examples of bad experience with C&C and other ADs and Iâm sure others read here too. Small issues usually no problem. When something is big such as engine problem and if the car was indeed serviced outside, you think C&C will still honour the warranty if found wrong engine oil being used? Have a thought about it.

Cheers.

Hey relax lar bro... it's forum... need thick skin to be active here... just read the positive and ignore the negative... I just ignore the 'dislikes'... I agree with what you say... but of course not everyone feels the same way... and so they just get upset... as I say... it's an open forum... just read the stuff you like or agree with... don't need to bother with the rough stuff... cheers bro! Have a great day!

Any honest review about the stonic?

Its FC, engine vibration at idle, sound system, space etc.

A little interested in trading in my k3 ex for this but my wife think its a downgrade, in terms of passenger and boot space.

You are not in the car sales line. So what if rich people come and buy a car in sloppy clothing? The way they dress is already a sign of disrespect to others. That's why sales people would rather serve those well dressed ones, regardless whether they buying or not

Car showroom only, not some fine dining restaurant. Y need dress so smartly? I also go to such places in t-shirt, bermudas and sandals. If they don't serve then I'll ask if really interested. In fact, will prefer not to be disturbed during viewing and trying out product.

previously i test drive both stonic and cerato...

i feel stonic vibrating at idle mayb due to 3cylinders engine... but pickup is ok..

just the backseat is very cramp...

to be honest, i feel more comfortable when driving cerato therefore i book cerato instead.. but dont feel as torquey as stonic..

if only two persons all the time, then stonic should be ok... cox backseat is really cramp....

city drive - stonic will be fun due to better low end torque and turbo

highway drive - k3 for the stability and heavier body, higher speeds won't be an issue

passenger space, k3 wins for sure since its a sedan. same for boot space.

stonic is basically a hatchback on stilts just like any other suvs, in fact the metal of stonic feels more hollow than k3. however if you are into drive dynamics and fun, stonic is the way to go if you like to rev and get fast sprints off traffic light.

I get about 5.5l/100km on highways and about 6.5l/100km on normal roads which is much better than my previous ride lexus GS300 (hahahah i know, not apple to apple)

Well i have no complaints about the stonic so far but than again i kinda outgrew spending too much money on cars. So my standards not that high. I tried a couple of hatchback or hatchback pretending to be suv... like jazz, swift, note, hrv and qashqai. I pick stonic for the price-value point as well as its torque. It is quite punchy.

Wow.... what a different in class and ride quality between Stonic and GS300. I bet this is just a toy car to you.

Turbocharged

The C&C SE told me that insurance MUST take in-house

To make things worse, he say their in-house insurance will NOT recognise any NCD and gotta pay full premium

Sounds damn ridiculous

Go to the Ubi branch run by C&C's authorised dealer, Fulco.

They are more flexible with the T&Cs.

This Stonic and Cerato thread seem to have a few sour grapes.

I wrote to the moderator who confirmed that it's the same few people giving the dislikes. The situation is being monitored.

A good question for the cautious heading north. Do share when you find the answer!

Actually I’m asking if anyone knows.

Google didn’t reveal anything

Just booked my stonic before the COE jump. Had to take AIG’s insurance and it’s conprehensive coverage. Yet it feels like they might screw you by saying you didn’t lock your car if you lose it in Malaysia and you can’t prove that you did also
