Just curious, will chip tuning void the warranty for the car? Certainly looks like a good way to upgrade our Stonic, just unsure about the terms and condition 😁

This is a piggyback ecu, which connect to the car's ecu and override some parameters with custom ones for additional power.

Yes, officially warranty is void if the service people notice the piggyback device in your engine bay and decide to put in on service record.

If intending to mod, pls note the dct that come with the Stonic is rated for 220n/m maximum. Exceeding this limit will result in damage to the gearbox. The dct on the Seltos (same as i30) is rated for 340n/m maximum and is more suited for heavy tuning.

What @Ceecookie mentioned is absolutely correct. But just remove it prior to servicing works for me. 😉

That's the 48V battery, meaning this is a mild hybrid.

That means it will come with tire patch kit instead of spare tire? Don't think it will fit with the 48v battery

Most likely a tyre repair kit. I don't think the spare is mounted under the rear of car like the Sorento.

I know the latter because I was unlucky enough to have to change a flat on my rental Sorento in Melbourne 2 years ago. 😅

Cars nowadays mostly no longer providing even a space saver tyre and current Stonic without the mild hybrid 48v battery only comes with tyre patch kit.
