I drove it for 10 months already. Dont know about reliability since it is my first kia (previous car is lexus) but it is a good decent size car with remarkable performance.

Dont consider this car as a SUV or even CSUV. Just think of it as the largest, most Horsepower hatch back (ie honda jazz, etc) in the market at that price range and you will find it great. Compare it to more expensive SUV or CSUV and you will be disappointed.

What lexus model you were driving previously?

Nice. Any concerns with at that DCT? Previous pages there were post about it heating up and almost overheating. Or is it simply a user problem?

Never had an issue with overheating or clutch even when i drove all the way to Genting. There is this slightly annoying sound (injector?) when you accelerate hard though. Not sure if it is characteristic of a turbo charged vehicle or what. Otherwise i am happy with the performance of the car.

Hey all, I only just noticed that all the nice safety features (Blind Spot Warning, Lane Keep asisst, emergency stop etc) that come with the Stonic are all not on the version that were brought in my C&C.

Any reasons why? other than the fact that its one of the lower specs of the car.

One of the reason I was interested in the Stonic was also because of all those safety features.

Why would the clutch overheat when you are constantly on the move cruising?

Travel alone. So car not heavy. I didnt really floor the accelerator but I did hit 170km/h. Yes it was stable

One of the main reason has to be cost . with all these features , the price of the stonic will be out of reach in this category.  But of course without these features, the safety rating for stonic has actually drop

I understand there is an aftermarket BLIND SPOT MONITORING system selling at 5XX.

Maybe we can contact seller for a group buy price? Any members here have done this already?

Actually I'm more interested in Lane keep assist. I have a bad habit of leaning towards one side of the lane. So the assist would help me realise it and nudge me back.

And that emergency braking feature is nice. Especially when the human reaction time isn't good enough.
