Harrier 2017

Ummh .... quite almost 2 weeks lapse without new post.

Harrier turbo owners are really likened to be aspiring or just made-it towkays and not the usual forum sharing type or enjoying so much of their new ride to be too busy to share or nothing more to share since perfect liao ?  [confused]

Cheers,

I posted something in another Toyota thread bro..

The Toyota owners aren't using posting here. You don't here so many posts on where to go for upgrades, mods, add auto mirrors and such.

The owners find the feature list adequate, the engine and other parts all work, and there aren't too many noises or defects to post about.

Ultimately they are busy out there enjoying their rides...

So a quiet thread is something not a bad thing. A busy thread on the other hand may indicate a lot of buyers or interest, or it can be indicative of a car with many issues.

Hi therock/Kdash,

Noted and guess also time for me to stop following this topic and thread then.

Unfortunately not able to share or learn much since gotten the Forester XT and indeed so quiet on this thread ...

Take care and it had been fun and with apology if I offended any Harrier Turbo owner ... had long ago stopped following on the other Harrier thread since no personal interest on NA Harrier.

Cheers,

Richard

Don't worry bro, anyone can post, both good and bad things if they are facts.

I enjoy your mods and tune ups.

It's just that the people who enjoy their Toyotas seldom want mods, and like simple but reliable cars.

Besides the Harrier actually has plenty of features and I can sit in one and drive off without too much fuss.

My friend who bought one of the last PI cars before the turbo came has never asked me a single question and has no grouse or complaints.

She just bought drove and that's it.

Hi Richard,

No worries, the forums are meant to be an avenue for sharing and learning from one another. Hope to see you continue your activity and sharing in the Forester thread.

As @therock mentioned, the Harrier is actually quite a well-packaged car and minimal mods required.

Take care and cheers,

kdash

Hi Richard

Me too, find this thread very quiet just like the interior of the HT. :)

Just an update, I am back to 220 after trying 230, road noise starts intruding from badly paved roads, partly cos of the quiet cabin, noise becomes obvious.

Hi Richard,

Get to read your post here by chance.

Don't have to be too upset by the activity here. I think the forum as a whole has been pretty quiet for quite some time.

However it is the forum that is for us to share and exchange information as much as we could and I think you have shared quite a lot in your topics in the Japanese SUV models. We are thankful for your inputs all these while.

While this topic can be quiet without postings, probably many people are reading what you are contributing. So continue contributing while you can.  [:)]

Hi Dach,

Noted and sure ... but certainly not upset and just stating the obvious after almost 2 weeks of not a single post.

Guess it din help cos there are separate threads for this predomninately Harrier Turbo one and the former Harrier NA one ... should get better as more active younger bros should be looking at Harrier Turbo if willing to put up sgd15-20k more for a much better ride and experience.

Cheers.

No worries, Richard.

Even the Honda Civic thread can get pretty inactive for weeks at times. I just make do of what information I can get there too.  [laugh]

Hi explorerX,

230kpa should have less road contact and quieter.

Believe it is due to harder rubber from higher tyre pressure that transmits road irregularities more prominantly via the suspension as well as chassis which is typically less robust unlike conti cars.

Soundproofing will not help on such transmitted tyre noise as I found out after 4 layer SP from firewall to rear boot of my FXT but it will very much alleviated by autofoam at KL auto which is great at <1/3 the cost of about sgd1.1k and weights only 8-10kg:

https://autofoam.net/autofoam/autofoam-application/

Cheers.

What's the latest BM Harrier 2.0L turbo pricing? So I won't go down to embarrass myself.

You're quite funny leh.

What's there to be embarrassed about if you don't know the price when you're there?

Get the SE to tell you will do.

You can always check on their website...

Spotted this Harrier while visiting at my friend's place.

Nice Range Rover style wording on the bonnet.

Great looking grille too.
