Ceramic coating is too thin and fragile. Now I'm studying paint protection film that offer much better protection such as dirt, oxidation, scratch etc.

There really isn't a perfect option.

Ceramics don't handle chips from stones or rock well. Some decent products and many lousy products. Touch wood,I have not get a scratch yet after 1 year.some self healing and bird shit can be polish away. Amazing what a high pressure washer can do when you have ceramics.

Wrap colors isn't nice, maybe those I've seen isn't good quality. Some self healing capability but if cut, you cannot touch up,must replace.

Tougher paint job is one of the best but depends on manufacturer.

Just wanna comment I think paint protection film not so worth it. I did paint protection with happycar and it coast me $250. To have a paint protection film for my whole car I was quoted close to $4k.

For that cost I could have done a brand new paint protection every year plus throw in one respray......

My two cents.

Haha... seems like I am not the only displeased with the boss' attitude. Every time, I send in my car for quarterly maintenance, he will ask lots of questions like how many times I wash my car a week; with what; where I wash my car: etc.

The last time was even more extreme, as I cover my car at the work place, he even asked what material my car cover was made internally and externally!!!! Really seems like "we (as customers) owe him" to protect our cars even thought pps was done by them.

BTW, their product cannot even protect against bird shit....left a message at their FB page before. Did not check if it has been removed.

To all those wondering if paint protection really works...

Does it works ? Yes, to a certain degree.  I did 5 layers and it is still working after 1 year, however it's not as "smooth" as before. It doesn't protect against chips from stones on the road. For that, you need to do a transparent wrap.

Does the number of "layers" matters ? Anything above 2 layers is probably BS. (my personal view)

Do you still need to wash ? Yes, of course.

Is it worth the $$ ? Up to you.  I found that it was worth it as it protected my car against chemical dripping on my ceiling when I was away for a week.
