As someone mentioned, no amount of electronic driver aids can help the stupidity of the driver..

Even God did want to help at its abode

Driver loses control of Lexus sports car, crashes into lamp post near Siglap church

ST understands that the car stopped when it crashed into a lamp post. It appeared to be outside the Church Of Our Lady Of Perpetual Succour in 31 Siglap Hill, which is along Changi Road.

Root cause? Lamp post never keep safe distance.

Or just a noob turned off traction control or selected some "race" mode. With all systems on, this shouldn't happen.

How does a car break traction on straight road?

Rip lamppost..

How does a car break traction on straight road?

Easy, slight unbalance on the road, wheel alightment, steelwheel not straight. Suddenly so much power with traction control off = very high chance torque steer.

How does a car break traction on straight road?

Powerful and torquey enough without TC will be very easy. M5/M6 if you floor, TC will rein in the car all the way through to 3rd gear.

Looks like the lexus steering was slightly angled left also.

Torque steer is fwd la. This is also a classic case of lift off oversteer.

I think the driver saw the bus when he filter into the middle lane and in the state of panic due to the high speed, he turned the steering wheel the other way when the front wheel is still on the white lane marking.

Tyres will lose grip on those white lane but it's in term of milliseconds at speed that the vehicle is traveling and thus we don't feel it. Try braking hard when the wheel is on the white lane marker and you'll know what I meant. And that's why it's dangerous for bikes to do lane split at high speed, just one mistake and the consequences can be serious.

God did help in a way else if the car hit the pole which carry the electrical wire (the pole after the traffic light), it may cause the car to explode if the live electrical wires can into contact with the car.
