They don’t want to be recorded while doing servicing, albeit for good reasons and it’s not that they have something to hide.

Outside workshops don’t do it. Only at authorized distributors this done. Wonder why. Haha

They never take out and discard the plastic bag covered on your car cam after servicing is done?! Lol.

This is a common practice at all AD servicing to cover your car cam when your car is being servicing. I also dont know what is the reason behind?

But funny is usually they only cover your front cam but never cover the rear cam.

Hi, EC owners,

Anyone interested to get an additional EC original rim? I’ve two spare pieces. Both in mint condition. Can use it as a spare or replace those that got hit by the roadside kerb as in my case. C & C quoted me $300+ just to repaint the rim.
I am letting go at $80 a piece. PM me if interested.

Dear Fellow EC drivers,

Anyone have changed their gear box panels? Those glossy piano blacks are nice to look but so easy to get scratched. I'm think about to changing to this i found on the net.

I have this installed on my EC. Fits easily though I discarded the round piece that goes on the S-AWC button as it hides the graphics. LHD and RHD have the same console layout so there is no issue with this part on a RHD model (I am in Australia)...

Good to know that it fits. Installation wise, was it easy?

Quite a simple process. Simply clean the centre console area of dirt and dust, peel of the 3M tape backing on the part, and start from the dashboard end and press the tape onto the console to seal it. Best to do a test fit with the tape backing in place so you know the best install process as it may catch on some parts of the console and cause issues. Place it on lightly to start and once you are sure everything is aligned correctly use more pressure to seat the tape permanently.

Yes, I changed mine. Got it from Aliexpress for less than $30. Perfect fit. Easy installation. No more worries about having it scratched again. They have the same panel for the Top display panel too at around $26.
Btw, and EC Bros interested to have a single piece of original EC 18” rim? Mint condition.  Comes with the TPMS adapter to gauge yr tire pressure. Selling at just a token only. I bought 4 pcs just to replace one of my rim that got scratched by roadside curb. Kept another as spare. Sold one and currently left with the last piece. Pls email me at [email protected] if anyone is keen. Thanks 🙏🏻

@zarbs Thank and sorry for the late reply. Just got the panel in hand, i guess this panel was to be stick onto the current panel like some kind of protective cover. Initially, i thought i have to dismantle the current panel and replace with this new one and that seems like alot of work.

Cheers.

@Coool Yes, it simply applies over the top of the piano black panel. Do a dry fit first without removing the tape backing to see how it goes on...
