Lower temp or increase fan speed - which consume more FC?

Fan consumes electricity.

Lower temp increases compressor load cycles, which means more drag on the engine, which means, more fuel consumption.

This is like asking turn on Air Con better or turn on fan better.  Want to be colder turn on both.... Want to save money turn on fan only, or don't turn on anything.

I am not sure if it is all but i know some of those climate control aircon cars actually having fixed cycle of compressor clutching on and off regardless of the temperature setting. Essentially what it does is the compressor will generate cold air at constant interval regardless of temperature setting, the system uses hot air to mix with cold air to achieve the desire temperature, that is how it achieve climate control or zoning or split temperature setting. So whether the temperature is set high or low makes no impact or benefit to FCm

Yup so the best thing to save on fuel is

 

cold temp max and fan speed min.

 

That's what I usually do.

 

If too cold just redirect the vent or close a few.

For some car i can hear thE compressor turned on sometimes n off again etc, when standing outside the car.

But some car totally no such sound? Why ah

Can't remember the TV programme name but they compared A/C with open window.

Which had higher f/c.

It works the same way as turning on the fan in an air conditioned room to aid circulation – cools the room faster. For max fuel economy. Set air con temp in car to 25 degrees, and max the fan speed to at least 2 to 3. Good to have an additional fan on board, plugged in to the ciga lighter

home aircon doesnt work the same as Car aircon. 

 

Car Aircon uses radiator heat to adjust the temp.

if too cold, switch off the aircon for a while, when temperature goes up again, turn on aircon again. this will really help save FC. But I am not sure this will accelerate the breakdown of the switch or button  or not
