Just to check, if 1.5l of mineral bottle burst and the water all went down to the floor carpet.

Will it drain off from the bottom of the car ?

Driving a VW, wanted to peel the carpet off to see underneath but cannot find the starting part of the carpet

Nope,if the Floorpan got holes,it means if you drive in the Rain,your interior will be Wet.  

Luckily is just Plain Water,if Sugar Drinks...good luck to You.

There should be drain holes on the floor pan sealed with rubber cap. Jack up the car and take a look.

My personal opinion. Since just mineral water, just go at it with hair dryer.

Unless you are good with your hands. Not worth the while to pull the floor carpet lining as it usually requires removal of the side sill/door frame weather seal trimmings.

 

I removed car seats and pulled back the carpet lining before for DIY sound cladding project many many cars ago.... Not easy....probably loss the same amount of sweat after you are done.

These few Morning got some very Hot Sun...open the Windows..just let it dry.

How come you always have spillage in car?

Put some a couple layers of newspaper over the affected area to soak up the moisture. Put 2 thirsty hippo also. Park under the sun and it should be fine.

Baking soda is always a good alternative to soak up excess water, and using a microfiber cloth.

 

The cheap way is just to leave the car directly under the hot sun for a few hours.

But second method might stink...given that it's damp.

Just spend a dollar or two to get 500g of baking soda to dry it.

Won't be stinky then.
