Need help from all gurus here. May I know how to find the year of manufacture for say Rolex and Tudor? Many advtised as circa 2021, circa 2022 but how to verify? By serial number or other code (hidden)? 

I try to Google but cannot draw any conclusion from various information posted online, especially for Tudor.

for modern Rolexes and Tudors, it cannot be verified by serials nor codes

you may only draw an estimate using the wrrwnty card which may show date of purchase.  

in any case, you may have a watch which is manufactured in 2020 but sold in 2022.  Therefore its really quite hard to nail it

of course if it is a particular model with features, markings, design launched only from a particular year onwards then you will at least know it is not older than that.  
 

maybe if you share some specific info or model or pic, i can help

My SE inform me that he has a Circa 2021 Tudor GMT (brand new unsized and unregistered set) and is selling this unit at below RRP, so thought of getting it, but I am concerned if it could be pre-2020 set (with date wheel issue). 

Ehmm... Should I or should not? Don't laugh at me for making such a low SES choice hor, I don't have millions of $$$ at my disposal...

if u like it, get it. Its still a much sought after piece for a fraction of Rolex.

i doubt is pre 2020 cos this is still pretty hot.

For daily use. I am never an investment guy else would have make some quick $$$ just by following what my friends did in properties and watches. 

My 2015 Black Bay Blue (79220B) has been serving me well so I have been thinking of adding another Tudor as my daily beater and this GMT fit my bill. 

BTW, just confirmed with my SE, the serial number for this piece end with 'A0' (it is no longer 7 numeric digits but 7 alphanumeric combi) Any chance you know if it is beyond 2020 production?

I am likely to bite given that I am offered >10% discount off RRP and that there is now a wait list for this model (can't believe all this crap wait list thingy but... )

Tudors waiting list is fuelled by Rolex. 
you can still get new Tudors for decent discounts (15% or more) perhaps not in singapore which has small supply of everything, also you might need some connections

Thrrefore 10% off in singapore is a decent deal today for the gmt

Lastly the datewheel issue is kinda heng suay.   If you like it, go for it. Should the datewheel issue surface, just bring it to RSC for a repair since it will still be under warranty.  Shouldnt be a big iproblem
