Pool's intensity has dropped since the restart. To be fair, no team can sustain that level for the whole season and the enforced break didn't help them as momentum was lost. They have nothing much to play for other than records which is only in the books.

As i mentioned previously, it's a real pity that Pool didn't take the domestic Cups seriously as they could hv achieved doubles, trebles perhaps. Understandably the EPL took precedence but they had a big buffer so I personally feel they could hv kept their eye on other silverware as well. Not knocking them but u really need to be greedy to be remembered.

Already won the cup with 7 matches to play. Why go all out ? :slow:

Klopp already said, he don't care about breaking records. :we-all-gonna-die:

I bet you it going to be a goalless draw at Anfield when Pool meet Chelsea. Pool is helping Chelsea to stay at UCL and keeping ManU at Europa ... :secret-laugh:

If we win all our matches and lose against Chelsea

then its all too obvious.

Must lose a few here and there first.

Leeds United back in EPL as Champs of the Championship after 16yrs, 5 owners n 15 Mgrs! Looking forward to their return n also previously strong teams like Nottingham Forest, WBA, Derby County etc will hopefully join them if not this season then soon.

WBA looks in the driving seat for the 2nd automatic promotion place whilst Forest are almost sure of a play off spot.

The funny thing is Leeds United, Nottingham Forest, WBA and Derby County are all in the middle of England and near each other.

Forest and County are next to each other, Leeds to the East and WBA to the West.

Most of the other clubs are in the north and south of England.

The Midlands clubs are coming back.

And the other coincidence - Brian Clough managed 3 of them, Forest, County and Leeds.

Clough was one of great Mgrs of the past, won 2 European Cups in succession for Forest in the days where so called smaller teams could compete with the aristocrats of European football like Real, Milan, Bayern n gang. It's near impossible to do that today. Clough was certainly a character.

Yes old days midlands teams were strong. Now it's the north west (Pool and the Mancs) or London (Arsenal, Spurs n Chelsea).

Arsenal will play Chelsea in an all London FA Cup Final after they both upset the 2 Manchester clubs City and United by 2-0 and 3-1 respectively in last weekend's S/Finals. This will be the first domestic trophy not won by either City or Pool since 2018. Arsenal has beaten Chelsea in 2 previous FA Cup Finals they have met previously (2002 and 2017).

The race for UCL and relegation places took a significant turn last weekend. Leicester lost 0-3 to Spurs and now look like the likely team to miss out though they could stiil overtake United by beating them next weekend if as expected United overcome West Ham in their game in hand on Wednesday. It may be resolved via goal diff and possibly even a playoff as their goal diff is now same though the Foxes hv scored more goals. Chelsea need 3 pts from 2 games to guarantee UCL next season but against tough opposition in Pool away n Wolves home.

Bournemouth has 1 foot in the Championship after losing 0-2 to Saints, they need a miracle to survive. Aston Villa are the other likely team to join them but Watford who are 3 pts clear of the Villians with a slightly better goal difference play City n Arsenal in their final 2 games so they could still be caught. The Hornets compounded matters by sacking Mgr Nigel Pearson yesterday, really bad timing in my opinion. The 3rd Mgr sacked by Watford this season.

Actually, the bookies favourites was to be the first ever Manchester derby FA Cup Final. City didn't play well and United changed their system for the S/Final which I don't understand the logic behind this when they were on a 19 game unbeaten streak.

Fun fact: The only people who have appeared in Leeds' last Premier League game and this season's Premier League are James Milner and Mike Dean, according to Richard Jolly .

Milner broken thru as a Leeds teen, talk about the longevity of this player, still on after 16 years.

BR is a conman who has been found out.

If Watford can get a new manager bounce then it will be a stroke of genius.

As for Chelsea I am sure they will qualify. They will sure beat Liverpool. [sly]

Man U first team sheet yesterday didnt have goals in them. Too defensive lineup. De Gea really at fault for 2nd goal and arguably should have saved the other two

Shows that champion league still their top priority. They just need to win by as many goals as possible against west Ham and then leicester will have to beat them by same no of goals or more. Anything can happen, Good for neutrals.
