Man City moving fast in the transfer market as 2 deals seem to hv been agreed although not officially announced.

21mil for Ferran Torres from Valencia, he is to replace Leroy Sane and 41mil for Nathan Ake from Bournemouth. Ake is a delayed replacement for Vincent Kompany who left the previous season. It was the lack of central defensive cover that was one of the main reasons for City losing to Pool for the title especially when Laporte and Stones were injured which led to Fernandinho playing CB. So City have moved early to resolve this. Last season, they targetted Harry Maguire but was outbid by neighbours United eventually.

Ake is a cultured left footed CB who is comfortable on the ball so this is right up Pep’s alley but I’m not sure if he is sound defensively. Pep more interested in defenders who can bring the ball up, in fact he even expects his goalies to do that! I old school prefer defenders to be defenders first and foremost but then again he's the boss not me😀

Liverpool seem intent on having a quiet window with Klopp towing the line by insisting on promoting youth to replace departing players. It’s admirable he has this stand but let’s see if this method works although I do expect Pool to buy some squad players.

Arsenal won the FA Cup beating Chelsea 2-1 in the Final last night. Aubameyang with 2 goals killed Chelsea’s bright start with a goal in 5mins from Pulisic. 
 

They now qualify for UEL whilst Spurs will hv to go thru the qualifying rounds of UEL with Wolves now out n only hope being winning UEL n thus qualify for UCL.

surprised to see Man City splashing big money during this period

but the transfer fees did come down a lot... those players, even non big names, would have cost double during pre-covd times

had cancelled my mioTV football in March when the matches were suspended (knn Singtel acted blur back then)

dunno want to take it up again in Sept when the new season kicks off....

I also fed up with them Cos they didn’t do anything to rebate us etc but i hard up to watch so LL continue 😩

Player values did come down abit but I think can go down more but some of the clubs with deep pockets still willing to pay for limited resources eg Chelsea willing to pay for Kai Havertz as in normal times, players like him will be snapped up by Real, Barca, Bayern etc. This deal not confirmed yet though.

Eddie Howe leaves Bournemouth by mutual consent after 8yrs in charge. I don’t see how Bournemouth can ever come back to the top division with his departure n that of some of their top players. I hope I’m wrong though.

at this climate, €120m is way too much for a 20yo youngster, even if he's a wonderkid

Ya I'm surprise even though the upfront fee (70mil) is not that high but the total package fee is very high esp in this climate and I thought United mentioned they wont pay more than 70 mil per player but they may mean upfront n not total package.

Anyway, no other club in for Sancho so I would hv expected United to have an upper hand in the negotiations but it doesn't look like it. Sancho is a good player and possible game changer with his individual talent but no way is he worth 120mil in my opinion but then again it's United's decision that counts, we shall see.........

young wide player, man u like got quite a few already . rashford. martial should be starter if they play 3 point attack.
