Yesterday i saw a Black XE which had the jaguar (dunno what to call it.. The metal pc of jaguar logo which old jags have) on the bonnet front.. Haha looks abit weird

You mean this? I think can call it hood ornament, apparently been banned in Europe.

Under Euro Ncap safety rules, its dangerous to pedastrians during collisions.

At least the Merc star hood emblem is collapsible.

I always find those who did it quite cock when they already have the stock grill with a big jag round emblem.

Machiam afraid people will not know is jag.

Anyway, to be fair, :a-shy:  I suspect BMW and Audi will have their fair share of these if they have their own stand alone hood emblem or grill emblem.

Everyone knows XE,  A4, C-class, 3 series = same class (S60 should belong here)

 

XF, A6, E-class, 5 series = same class (S80 should belong here as well as the new S90 which is a direct replacement for the S80)

 

XJ, A8, S-class, 7 series = same class (so far don't think Volvo have a direct competitor model to fit in this segment but I bet they will soon, they are on a roll!).

UK changes at XE 17MY

• Powertrain badging now customer choice > 20d, 20t, 25t badges are standard fitment > No cost delete option > AWD badging also seen on 20d (180ps) vehicle where appropriate > ePerformance badge (163ps) will not be fitted in UK
• NEW Tailpipe finishers for all exposed exhausts
• Introduction of InControl Touch Pro > 10” screen as per XF but without TFT virtual instrument display
• Light Oyster headlining now available as NCO for R-Sport and S models 4
• Lane Keeping Assist and Driver Condition Monitor (already offered on XF) now available on XE
• Adaptive Speed Limiter (active speed management) added to Traffic Sign Recognition
• Configurable Dynamics (controlled via Touch Screen) available with Adaptive Dynamics
• Three new exterior colours (from June 2016): Caesium Blue, Gallium Silver, Cosmic Black > Will replace Bluefire, Black Cherry, Celestial Black
• On Portfolio models, standard grille is now full chrome (to help differentiate Portfolio models from Prestige)

Maybe that's why Wearnes still holding on to launch price to get rid of MY15 stocks....
