The W124 will always be my favourite and the W210 will always be known as the worse Mercedes ever built with rust and quality issues.

Not I say one hor.

The first generation of the Mercedes E-Class, codenamed W124, launched in 1984. Over the years it built up its reputation of being one of the best Mercedes ever built, thanks to it’s sleek design, it’s practicality, it’s diversity and - most importantly - it’s build quality. However, in 1995, there was a new E-Class on the market: The successor to the W124, codenamed W210 - which over the years became known for being one of the worst Mercedes ever built, mainly due to rust and quality issues.

This W210 E-Class is much rarer than the older W124, no thanks to the relatively higher COE during its era.

Nice catch! [thumbsup]

Only 3,429 units of this 1957 – 1959 Mercedes-Benz "Ponton" 220 S Cabriolet (W180 II)  and Coupés were built. And this unit look very much in its original conditions, especially the aged canvas top and taillight.

This is lovely. Even the colour scheme, which wouldn't go well with a modern car, is nice here.

One of the original colour scheme of Ponton Cabriolet. And this actually a 2+2 seater.

Even the rims are painted with the same colour scheme! 😄

The rim colour combination is slightly different from the original colour scheme, but still a good effort by its owner to keep things in original state. [thumbsup]

Yah, I wrote about this LWB E-Class before. Too bad no RHD model available, else I bet many would get one along with Maybach badge and chromed bits... :D :D

He can't afford an Aston, but at least he's Copen the best he can. 😁

BTW, Aston actually has a teeny tiny car of its own. The Cygnet. 😂

I have seen better version of this Aston Martin Copen, which make me have the urge to get one for myself.

The biggest winner is Toyota since both the Aston Martin were based on their Copen and iQ. :D

Make a wild guess, Copen or iQ has better spec in the following:

  • Dimensions (Length)
  • 0 - 100 Km/h Timing
  • Top Speed

And the answer is

...

Copen!

  • Length: 3,395mm (2,985mm for iQ)
  • 0 - 100 Km/h Timing: 11.7 sec for 659cc version (11.8 sec for iQ 1.3L, )
  • Top Speed: 170Km/h for 659cc version (171Km/ for iQ 1.3L)

Until you come to this version of the Cygnet:

While the Mk3 Octavia VRS/RS245 is not that rare here given it's bang for buck proposition, the estate version that was never sold here officially (shame) is.

I believe there were only 2 of these Steel Grey examples brought in by a PI and were selling at a big premium over the official SCS hatch.

Apologies for the low-res car cam screen grab!

The VRS 245 Combi will be a better option. Look good, huge practical space and fast.

Miss the handling of this 1st Generation Nissan Presea. But the clutch is damn stiff and hard top setup introduced quite some noise in the compact cabin.

The K11 which was once very popular.  This one is still on the road today.

How much does it cost to change to that type of front grille?
