Nobody would want to sleep on the cold hard floor unless they don't have a choice i guess

The choice is to fork out own pocket money to sleep in comfort or free on the floor. Nvm lah, spend 2 weeks sleep in discomfort, thereafter back in JB sleep in big landed 2 storey house with 2 cars parked.

Not all work in office leh.

They may be cleaners. Sleeping in MRT better than rubbish area.

Many cleaners and construction workers are freelance 散工 hence no agreement with company to claim from govt, but that's not the way to treat them.

Cannot sleep in office? Or corridor outside office?

MRT smell better? :gangs:

I believe those who sleep at mrt is those low salary workers who might not afford to pay for the hotel stay, and their company also did not make any arrangement for them.

Many Malaysians park their cars around the CIQ for a rather cheap daily rates. If you drive around City Square, Wong Ah Fook, R&F Mall area, there are carparks FULL of J-plated cars. They saved on the S$35 per day VEP, ERP and exorbitant carpark.

That’s why you see them cross the causeway even by walking!! I will walk too to save on the above charges.

I have a feeling they feel safer in Singapore even if it means sleeping anywhere.

The question is those that caught sleeping in MRT, do they have a proper work permit?

I tell you, we may open a big can of worms here you know

Was reading some of my PR colleague's facebook comments, and actually we forget that SG is still seen as a dangerous place where covid is concerned.

Although the Johore minister has made moves to exempt work permit holders from the movement control order, many malaysians in other states actually oppose this special treatment. They worry that by breaking this lockdown, the workers may possibly be bringing back more covid infections from SG.
