I was contemplating between tpg and my republic. Eventually decided on the latter. TPG coverage really can't make it. Seem my inlaw always complaining of poor network.

I tried TPG Senior plan $5 for 1st month. I didn't have any problem with coverage, as I drive PHV extensively, go to all kinds of areas. The only thing I didn't like was the very limited 30 sms. No other telco is doing this stupid 30 sms thingy. Sometimes, someone may text me and easily 30 is gone. Why they need to do that ?

I decide to give up halfway, as I was also using giga at the same time.

Less people use sms, but doesn't mean no one.

On some app like if I decline to accept an incoming call while I was driving, I can easily divert with a tap and send sms, but not for whatsapp. So sms is still there.

In your contact list, sometimes you want a send a text, sms is always there. You'll be surprise some people don't have whatsapp.

Ask your in-law not to go underground. 😁  Then it'll be fine.

Giga network is ok but their customer support totally cannot make it at all. If encountered any problem, feedback to them no use and response at all.

The funny thing for more than over a year with Giga for my son, and Myrepublic (5 years) never once needed to call their CS.  But with M1 and singtel, quite  a number frustrated occassions had to call them for various issues.  Maybe more tolerant to the MNVO coz they are cheaper..

Maybe thats why there is no need customer service for giga? 😂 Cause no customers need to call them? But for giga, dont think there is any number for you to call, the only way to communicate to them is through the apps.

the app is just a bot. very very difficult to speak to real CSO one.

Bot is just search engine that return only one line of the answer from their list of FAQs.

Any problems with receiving OTPs?  I read somewhere that ppl who switched to vivifi could not get their OTPs for credit card transactions

For TPG, to call out need to use TPG App de.. correct?

No, just use your phone like normal, but your phone must support VoLTE.

TPG app is just for checking your account and stuffs.
