His dad used to have a shop at Bedok Reservoir. Now he is supplying bz to markets haha.

If your loved ones are picky about BZ, then better don't buy this. I buy to eat for fun only because cheap cheap 10.50 for 3.

I didn't know bak zhang so expensive nowadays.

I just think it's a good simple meal, glutinous rice to fill your stomach and with meat as protein.

But to buy it on actual Dragon Boat Festival has no meaning for me as I don't celebrate this festival.

The dragon boat race/festival and dumplings pre dates Qu Yuan. 

To celebrate someone who committed suicide as a hero don't gel with me. 

Similar to Mooncake festival

Prices just spike leading up to it... Don't fancy such tradition. 

It's like during covid.... Everyone rushing to instant noodles, rice pasta, toilet paper etc.....

If not for price control measures in place those basic food would have spike in pricing.

10 for myself and the rest for distribution to relatives and friends.

What about bak kwa? Super expensive during Chinese new year. Must queue like shit at some stalls too. And most are bbq too fast and burnt.
