1 resident pronounced dead at scene of Jurong West HDB fire linked to PMD

I have said that many time, enforcement officers just need to station themselves outside shopping mall, hawker centre, and other places with several eateries where food delivery riders pick up their customer's order...

I guarantee chop double confirm can catch at least 10 non compliance PMD, PAB and even PMA within 1 hour.

The delivery companies Deliveroo Foodpanda Grab need to take responsibility but the authorities aren’t holding them to the task. Everyone is turning a blind eye and every now and then illegal equipment such as this go up in flames and take their owner with them.

I still remember the other one that chose to catch fire in a lift.

Owner ownself gets burnt is one thing….. sometimes the Neighbouring units have to bear the brunt of the fires …… let’s just call it collateral damage

How to tell the different between legal and those illegal? The bike size/speed?

Reg plate (could be fake anyway) size, speed, whether their legs peddling all the time or using throttle only.

Sad case, but won't be the last. Not sure if the recent hot weather made the batteries malfunction.

My MIL's neighbour also always park their mobot escooter along the common corridor and connect to extension cord if need to charge. Always wondered why they don't bring into their flat, and if it's because they thought it's a fire risk, why keep it. Really dunno what these people are thinking. And my MIL also paiseh to feedback, sigh. 17th floor some more, if anything happens SCDF ladder dunno long enuf or not.

Perfect neighbour for another MIL 🙃

Got enforcement also no use.

Use eye to enforce.

All thanks to SPF.

Thats why these companies happy to consider riders as contractors, not employees.

Anything, not their problem. C*nts.

Your MIL should feedback to the authority, if not if the device caught fire no matter inside the house or along common corridor also dangerous. Since this is like waiting accident to happen lo.

Then when matters get too hot to handle, the Cisco guy used too much force to bring the person down in order to apprehend him, got sack and punished.

Seems like people working on the ground bore the brunt of all these enforcement or non-enforcement.

Actually just buy those timer based socket, set to charge a specific number of hours and will auto turn off the power will reduce the risk of overcharging......

At least chances of fire can be reduced,

At least mobot brand quite likely to be certified LTA compliant unless old model..

GPGT! LTA look, where have you been stationing the enforcement officer?!

Caught these few outside a shopping mall this evening when buying my dinner. Don't even take me more than 3 minutes to spot these... not to mention at least another 2 PAB speed pass with not visible registration number on them (one of the rider even stare into my eye when I was trying to snap his bike - but I am too slow)
