The new model will be based on Jaguar Land Rover’s brand new MLA platform, which allows for Mild Hybrid, Plug-in Hybrid, and Battery Electric variants. The same platform will underpin the slightly smaller Range Rover Sport which is expected to be unveiled in 2022.

As for the powertrains, most likely all of them will receive some form of electrification for improved efficiency and comply with the ever-stricter emission regulations. The base model will probably retain the current mild-hybrid inline-six 3.0-liter engine, while the most powerful variant is rumored to get a BMW-sourced 4.4-liter V8.

The most popular option will probably be the plug-in hybrid version, thanks to the combination of a gasoline motor plus a sufficient electric range for daily use. We also expect a BEV variant for the first time in Range Rover’s history, which could lead the popular series into the future following the imminent ICE sales ban in Europe.

Twincharged

Gone are the characters and ruggedness. This packaging is more towards a MPV styling.

Land Rover's new flexible Modular Longitudinal Architecture, MLA-Flex, underpins every aspect of this luxury SUV, from its unmatched capability and agile handling to its peerless refinement. By combining state-of-the-art engineering techniques with new levels of virtual development and Land Rover's punishing development programme, the New Range Rover will deliver new levels of quality.

A pair of innovative Extended Range plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) powertrains provide CO2 emissions below 30g/km, with a pure-electric driving range of up to 100km (62 miles), delivering an expected real-world range of up to 80km (50 miles) - enough for typical Range Rover customers to complete up to 75 per cent of trips using electric power only.

The new luxury SUV is available in SE, HSE and Autobiography models. A First Edition will be available throughout the first year of production, based on the Autobiography and featuring a unique specification. It is exclusively available in a Sunset Gold Satin finish, among a choice of five exterior colours. Both Standard (SWB) or Long Wheelbase (LWB) body designs are available with five seats, while the New Range Rover LWB model is available with a third row for extended comfort for up to seven adults.

The new Range Rover SV is an exquisite interpretation of Range Rover luxury and personalisation from the experts at Special Vehicle Operations. The SV model is available in both SWB and LWB body designs, with exclusive features including new SV Serenity and SV Intrepid design themes and a four-seat SV Signature Suite configuration.

4th Gear

I thought this new design looks very beautiful although not that kind of ruggedness as it should be for a 4x4... All the surfaces are flat and smooth...

And the rear signal lights are concealed and so cool...
