smartphone market is extremely lucrative, manufacturers want you to keep buying their new flagship phone every 2 to 3 years.

I want the pro models to take pics of my baby but I like the battery life of the plus model  

being able to shoot from a further distance is useful

Eventuallly, you will realize that shooting babies... It is what you have in your hand at the magic moment that matters and how fasr you can react and capture fhe moment. Babies don't wait for you to set up your phone in "pro" mode, setting the iso, aperture, focal length, exposure.

Most phones battery life are prettty decent for regular use. If you work in office, can always buy a magsafe charger to charge wirelessly while you are at your desk, there are wireless magsafe car charger as well that double as phone cradle, at home while you sleep just leave it charged wirelessly overnight.

Just have the phone on hand to capture videos. My kids like to look at old videos of themselves more than the photos with all their funny antics then. Makes them laugh and happy.

Reviews out yesterday. Looks like the cameras on the 14pro improved quite a bit (though still based on pixel peeping).

Did they manage to get rid of the stupid blue dot if you take a bright object like the moon at night when it’s dark? 😑

No specific mention. But from the review I watched by mrwhostheboss, he didn't mention it (and I believe he mentioned this halo/flare issue in his previous reviews)
