Maybe TCH, ex Chief of Navy (I would exclude our ex crown prince)? Just for fun, I asked ChatGPT to rank its list of notable Singapore ministers since 1990 based on their effectiveness, policy impact, public trust, and long-term contribution. While inherently subjective, the rankings reflect both achievements and criticisms during their tenure. My sanity check: Pass with Tharman's top ranking and Mah Bow Tan's bottom listing. 😂😂😂 Top Tier (Outstanding National Impact) Tharman Shanmugaratnam – Finance, MAS, DPM, President Goh Keng Swee (legacy influence) – Economic architect, Education, Defence Lee Hsien Loong – PM, Finance, DPM K. Shanmugam – Law, Home Affairs Lawrence Wong – Finance, Education, DPM, PM-designate Upper Mid Tier (Strong Policy Execution & Public Standing) Lim Hng Kiang – Trade & Industry Teo Chee Hean – DPM, Defence, National Security Khaw Boon Wan – Health, Transport, National Development George Yeo – Trade, Foreign Affairs, Information Mid Tier (Solid Contributions, Some Limitations) Heng Swee Keat – Finance, DPM Vivian Balakrishnan – Foreign Affairs, Environment Gan Kim Yong – Health, Trade Yaacob Ibrahim – Environment, Communications Lower Tier (Controversies or Mixed Outcomes) Mah Bow Tan – National Development (Housing affordability issues) S. According to MOH press release, from 8 to 26 Sep 2021, dine-in allowed with group sizes of up to 5 persons if all vaccinated. So if NCM dine with just SHJ and potentially up another 3 pax, can he still said he is not close to SHJ?? If he and the other ministers and business associates dine with SHJ on 24 Sep 2021 (SHJ appears to be with the same shirt, hair style and at the same venue ), then the whole group would have violated MOH's heightened alert phase 2 SMM requirement (of up to 5 pax limit for dinning or social gathering)! If the above is true, then it is not just investigation by CPIB but MOH and more. Really must buy pop corn liao. 成何体统 Charles Yeo is really doing a lot of damage. Iswaran – Transport, Trade (Convicted for corruption) This is an interesting list. I checked the first four and they all have excellent academic record. I think a huge majority are from top schools. Funnily the last two actually have average academic records…. is this proof?? Joking. Mah Bow tan is similar to Lawrence Wong right? Average pre university results, somehow got a good scholarship, went to an average university for degree… thinking a bit more, it isn’t coincidence most of the people in the list are academically excellent as they are selected mostly by lky. We all know his views on this. Now we have Lawrence Wong…. I wonder what are his views on this, will he select more people like him? A cabinet full of Mah Bow tan?
