IMHO.
For Toyota Singapore, BM say is 10,000 or 6 months.
A typical car in SG averages about 17,500 km per year. 
Six months is 8,750 km - very close to 8,000 km or 6 months oil change.

It is likely GZ thing. There is even a Mille Miglia in GZ.
