Hi

Thanks anyway bro. I jus went to concorde building and got Fusso 9 mths at $24. And 2 detailing cloths for $8 each. After the purchase and then notice fusso 9 mths comes with another detailing cloth as well. Gosh. Find the price at concorde a at steep for the accessories there and also the price will only be told when u r at the cashier (kind of getting con feel).

Anyway buy already. Going to wash then sealent and see how. Will proceed to buy the wax if it looks gd after the sealent process. Anyway i didnt manage to get clay bar at concorde. My car is only 1mth + old. hopefully without claybaring is ok.

dude, i dun think sealant effect alone will be ur pride and joy. it creates a protection layer for your car surface. this needs to be complimented with waxing to enhance the shine.

just keep the cloth...good to have spare! i have 4 pcs :P

cheers!!

Fusso is not bad and it is cheap. So far, I have used Zaino, Fusso and Klasse.

I think the best compromise overall will be Klasse. Zaino is good, but more tedious to apply and wipe off. Klasse is easier in that aspect.

I am equally confused about the industry hypes and woes for teflon. A quick search could yield several controversies about teflon for automobile paintworks.

One site i just pulled out said the following about waxes:

http://www.pssales.com/chemistry.html#anchor423924

Well, if it works, it works. Let's believe in what we can achieve.

Enjoy!

Flashpal...

Well, Frankly, i've seen cars with Teflon stuff on it... Yes it does looks good... dunno much about its durability though... the last I read, telfon require high temp to bond with the paint. Using DA or rotary will not get you to the require temp. Maybe its a new technology breakthrough... [sweatdrop][sweatdrop][bounce1]

but what's worrying to most of the detailers is the other chemicals inside teflon.... read from somewhere that it can be a health hazzard.

Hi Guys,

Found this new piece of info about Teflon from another forum...

http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20060216/ap_on_he_me/epa_teflon

Hope the info helps.

Hiz all

I washed, fusso 9 mths and used authentic premium on my car. Results looks gd but did not achieve the kind of effect that some of the bros have achieved. Kind of disappointed.

1 thing i need to check with all the bro whom have used the authentic wax. When i open the can, it seems to be quite dry. Have to mesh it up a little before i could feel the moist. Is this supose to be the case?

Also I wax the car right after i applied the sealent on the entire car. Which means i roughly only left the sealent to dry for 30mins only. Is it really going to affect the durability of the seleant?

That's probaby because you din do any sort of paint preparation like polishing. It's probably also a good idea to clay your car too before you polish. I know what you mean cos I was also disappointed when I tried the sealant + wax. Even though the car was barely a month old at that time, the overall effect was still disappointing.

Ic. guess I will have to do this whole process again soon since it's better for it to cure for 12 hrs. hai.. Real tiring job. Maybe will do it in April.

Also for the next few weeks, if i wan to clean my car weekly, will it remove the sealant? Or is it ok for me to jus wash with normal car wash and apply wax (the sealant will still be intact?) ?

i never try the one u gt b4 so i cant ans u....i tried zaino n autoglym b4. one coat of sealant will last for abt 2 - 3 mths....for ur case as u never let the sealant cure, i guess it will be better that u use a cleaner polish to get rid of the wax n start over again...let the sealant cure for at least 12 hrs b4 waxing

Hi

So after u have redo yr detailing, lets say u wan to wash yr car 2 weeks later, sealent dun need to be re applied right? Wonder when we wash the car, will both sealent and wax be stripped off as well.... Or after wash, the sealent will still be intact and I can jus apply a layer of wax over it.?

Generally speaking you are correct, if you are going to sealant + wax route, then you can layered the car once in 2-3 weeks depending on how shiny/wet you want your car to be. Washing your car should not stripped your sealant/wax too much if you use the 'correct' car shampoo.

There are some bros here who would are happy with the shine they get from their sealant and skipped waxing all together. For these bros, they will probably be layering thir sealant every 2-3 weeks instead.

well normally by using car wash will not stripped off ur sealant too much,

jush dont add too much car shampoo in water when washing.

unless u find ur overall detaling work abit blur or not happy with the result,

u might use dish washing liquid to wash ur car, tis can stripped ur over layering wax and sealant as well.

the blur effect might cause by;

1. using too much wax at one time when polishing.(try use very thin coat will do)

2. sealant not fully dry pior applying wax. (let it dry at least 2 to 6 hour before waxing)

As what Lonewolf saying, some people only apply sealant every 2 week time, it look good too, also repel dust n dirt very easily, sealant last longer too, about 3-9 month.

as for the wax, it give u addional 3D wet look but normally last about 2 week only.

so got to apply again n again.

Ok. Got it. Guess I will jus wash and wax for the next few weeks til i use the sealant again cos i dun have time and have to do other DIY as well [sweatdrop] . After the previous process, the car does shine and have the wet look. Maybe jus does not achieve the ones shown in the picture. Even my gf says my car look shiny, comparing to me using zimo previously [thumbsup] . At lease this wax wont leave residue like zimo.

Thanks for the product recommendation all bros. :) By the way, if any of the bros cant get Fusso 9 mths for dark cars at stanford or, etc, u can get from concorde. They still have it there a few days ago when i went there. :)

Hi,

I'm confused and really need to get back that shine on my Red Picanto. There's lots of scratches, swirl marks and rain spots. After looking at this threat about soft99, I'm really impressed about it. But can anyone advise me ;

1) Should I get rid of the scratches, swirl marks and rain spots 1st before polishing?

2) If so, which product should I use?

3) Which type of polish do U recommed?

4) When to Autobac and found this Soft99 Scratch and wax, will it helps to cover the

swirl marks, rian spots and scratches.

5) Is Hi-Gloss88 a sealant or anyone recommen a better product?

Thks

Best Regards
