If I am not wrong glare pro-action polish is a diluted version of the glare polish itself, so it will not help in term of removing the stain on your car.

i tink so too... sianz... bro you have any solution to share?

ok... but in terms of shine which is better authentic gold or s100... oh ya what about durability... which is better to work on AG's EGP...

The shine is not really that different between these 2 wax but S100 is definately easier to work with. Can't really copmment on the durability because both wax did not have a chance to stay more than 2 weeks on my car [:p] , but I believe S100 should be more durable.

Hi Bros,

Recently discovered some excellent Soft99 products that I had to recommend after trying them out!

1st Product used was the 3M Swirl Mark Remover:

http://www.properautocare.com/3mperswirmar.html

This really give the paint a deep shine. Managed to hide many swirls but still not perfect as I did it using my hands. Overall still excellent results for an amatur like me. nod.gif

2nd Product used was the Soft99 Fusso Coat 9 Months Protection:

This product really amazes me as it is the easiest sealant I have ever used! The box contains a microfiber towel and all you have to do is pour some of the polish on the cloth and spread it on the car. It dries clear so you do not need to buff of any residue! So basically all you do is wipe ur car with the Sealant and its finished! Best is that it boasts 9 months of protection but I would take that with a big pinch of salt. Beats everything else in the market and is excellent for beginners. I suspect this product can be layered like Zaino for a deeper shine.

I've read this Fusso Coat is made of Teflon PTFE. Good or bad, I reserve my judgement.

whats so bad about teflon?

it does its job by providing a layer of protection against the ravages of nature and at the same time give a good sheen to the car....

you gotta try it to believe it... [:|]

Saw this @ Stamford today: http://www.authentic-mania.com/products/wax_exce.html

Its supposed to be the best carnauba wax in Soft99's range, cost $65 for a 200g tin. [knife]

The english translation @ the back of the tin says its made from refined white carnauba.

Anyone here tried it before?

For the above wax, it is one easy wax to use. The premium in price is worth every penny if you dun wanna suffer from tennis elbow after a good old wax session. I can imagine the kinda of hardwork u will need to get to before using wax. Wash => clay => polish/sealant => carnauba wax.

The $65 carnauba wax is much easier to rub off after applying. It is almost like putting vaseline onto the car body. As for the Gold version (about $35+), it will haze off into something tougher to remove compared to the authentic excellent.

Why Carnauba instead of modern chemicals (eg polymers)? Natural waxes vs advanced formulas. The choice is definitely personal. Ironically, it is well known that most natural waxes do not last very long esp in tropical weathers like Singapore. [sunny] The slickness (and depth of shine) may be gone in a couple of weeks if the car was exposed to rain and shine daily.

Cheers and happy waxing!

Bro Upguy

I am equally confused about the industry hypes and woes for teflon. A quick search could yield several controversies about teflon for automobile paintworks.

One site i just pulled out said the following about waxes:

Well, if it works, it works. Let's believe in what we can achieve.

Enjoy!
