When it comes to servicing, many MCForummers only mentioned abt changing of EO, EO filter (or spark plugs too) and labour charges. what abt other maintenance checks e.g.

Check (23-point)

* Engine, Drive Belts & Power Train

* Cooling System

* Electrical

* Air-Conditioning

* Steering & Chassis

* Brake & Clutch

* Exhaust

this is a part from CDGE premium servicing package. I am neither advertising for them nor their employee [:p] I find their package also quite expensive but if they really do all the checks, I feel it's still worth it..

I jus feel that other checks are as impt as changing of EO etc. any views on this?

Many thanks!

$450 for Brake....this is [knife] . U shld burn down the shop.

Most Brake pads + Fluid Bleeding + Services job under $165.

but this workshop is recommended by u? a bit contradicting.....u with them or against them? [sly][confused]

If you bring your own oil to CAS, they will use the lowest service package $48 - $10 = $38. So if you buy oil from Trex101 and service at CAS, it is cheaper than using CAS supply M1 oil.

is the lowest now 58 bucks in CAS?

I feel that, in most cases, those 23-point (or 100-point, etc) are useless....unless you know something about cars (in which case, you can do most of the check except for those undercarriage ones), or are there to see them do all the checks. In most case, they will just 'look-see' at best. Most will just tick all the check-box.

I feel that, best to to find a reliable workshop and stick to it. The good ones will do the checks as part of the servicing.

i do agree with u on the part whereby some WS mechanic will just look look see see then put a tick in the checklist.

If you are not trained as a mechanic with inspection ability , you can try to look and see but you just see technically nothing is wrong.Simple Visual inspections can be done by any layman.

If Bukit Merah area, I would recommend this

Cheong Motors

Tel 62709848 (Meng)

Blk 1005 Bt Merah Lane 2 #01-14 S(159761)

Give them a call to fix appt....

If you buy or bring your parts then just fix the date/time...dont have to wait long one...

But if you want them to supply the parts then let him (Meng) know your car model and type of oil etc you need.... his labour charge is "flexible" - last time I pay him like 20-40 bucks...

I have friend working in Comfortdelgo. have been doing there for quite sometime. I find them very efficient, work smart and most importantly proper system. But waiting can be a hassle. so you got to chose the non-peak hour. morning of monday and wednesday.

changing of oil, oil filter, Nology plug from CHEZ REpulic(special request need) only at 199. if normal plug 99. workshop at ubi. BEST!
