Workshop to recommend for servicing ?

No point getting angry with such people I am just trying to logically reason with the guy who do very heavy promotion for his buddy in JB.It's nothing wrong but it's bad if it's at the expense of our local mech/shops.

If you have the time and prepare to stand near the JB mech for the whole day, why not, after all it's your time and your risks, you decide what is best for yourself. Convenient = Money, nothing is free.

Sorry bro but my experience wh many sg ws n mech also not good.

 

Thats why when i found a good sg mech who is elderly guy one man show i support him all e way till recently he keep increasing his prices till i go jb n found a cheap n good ws.

 

Cant blame e guys here cos we all looking fr good value fr money.

 

Maintaining car in sg not cheap n if we can find cheap n good alternatives in jb its hard to keep suporting sg mechs when ty dun give good value fr money.

I recall some peeps recently shared about a recommended workshop that operates out of a petrol station...can't find that thread but found this workshop together with keyword "mycarforum" in google search...is this teo & lee automotive service the one?

workshop at Upper Thomson Road. went to see google photos. Only negative is one hoist

yes. the caltex near/opposite sembawang hills hawker center.

It's not open on sunday (contrary to google maps info)

So besides air-con, they also do normal servicing? how about car battery change?

Teo & Lee more of a general servicing bah. 

If aircon, I would go to edwins garage at amk ind park 2. My elantra and my accord AC was done there. 

Body shop repair, I did my elantra at Alan's United at sin ming. 

So far those are the 3 I've used and will go back for the northerners.

Edwin need to make appt usually. Sometimes hard to get a slot for the times I want. High volume business.

I've actually driven for a few days without AC cos they can't find a slot for me to fix the AC... They sent me home and say come back with appt... 

Usually I prefer to just walk in or decide day before that I want to service. 

And they also have that issue of forgetting what I want to do for regular servicing. Miss out simple stuff like tyre rotation but then I want to collect the car and siam already.

But fix aircon they are really experienced and no issues so far with both my cars. 

 

Most places can do a mixture of all 3 bah. 

Amk ind park and sin ming area is a bit messy though. I'm sure ubi is the same and those multi storey ones like amk autopoint. Sometimes even finding a place to park while enquiring at the WS also is difficult.

Anyone can do car battery. If yours isn’t a bmw or Mercedes that needs to code it. Just make sure they parallel it to keep the memory. Do not let them change while engine is running.

ok, thanks for the pointer.  Any recommendations for Japanese brand car to change battery ? AMK , Sin Ming area ?

Made an appointment with Edwin yesterday online, went down this morning to get my car aircon flush and also change a new car battery.

All done in 15 mins !
