Neutral Newbie

I'm Bertrand, also a newbie on this forum.

31 yrs old, teacher, single.

I bought my car new in Feb 2011.

Long story short, was going through a mid-life crisis and didn't really weigh if I could afford it.

Tried to sell it after 6 months, but I was told the depreciation was too high, and the car loan to the bank would have to be repaid in full before it could be sold, so I kept it.

But now my finances are really not good, and I don't think I can even afford the car insurance for next year.

What are my options?

1) Sell the car: is that possible? I don't have cash to make up any shortfall between selling price and outstanding car loan.

2) Any other options that I don't know about?

I apologise for any trouble beforehand. I am truly a goondoo and I hope anyone can help me at least to see what my options are.

Please email me directly if possible, at [email protected]

Any help greatly appreciated, thank you!! :)

then why buy in the first place? [rolleyes]

u can try your luck to sell to direct buyer to get a better price, but since u have outstanding loan, early redemption will have penalty. if really depends on how much loan you took which might be required if the selling price of the car cannot cover the loan+interest+penalty.

whats the make/model btw?
