Apollo 1st Gear January 26, 2005 Share January 26, 2005 sorry.. it is not to know fr me. u r just a click away fr lta to learn better. but if u wanna experiment with some good $$, yeah sure. then again, if u r not adventurous kind... how abt an expert view? http://www.fuelsaving.info/air_bleed.htm ↡ Advertisement
Apollo 1st Gear January 26, 2005 Share January 26, 2005 actually a lot of pple think that the resonator box only function is to cut noise for n.a. cars. that is not true. it is also designed to compensate for negative cycle of air intake. if u like more readings on car stuff.... go here http://www.z-stab.com/forums/forumdisplay....20&daysprune=-
Hattee Neutral Newbie January 27, 2005 Share January 27, 2005 Sorry maybe you missed earlier mail : Not true for you said "Now if the E68 adds in additional air into the combustion process, the exhaust will be different. Remember, what goes in must come out. The exhaust sensor senses the difference and gets the ECU to compensate. In the end, no difference." With more air and corresponding more fuel after ECU correction - what is the output power for the same throttle position now?
Genie47 1st Gear January 27, 2005 Share January 27, 2005 Then out goes to the window that these devices save gas. Why want to burn more? If it really brings more power, it is more power from more petrol because the fuel injection is more to compensate for more air. Then this is nothing but an IATS hack. Furthermore, OBDII has twice and many sensors and OBDI. Granted that the earlier ones are so sensitive, these contraptions will give a CEL. Burn even more petrol for less power. Now that ECUs are more intelligent, they will bring it back to the normal position. If I wanted to burn more petrol, I have the most powerful mod of all. I just floor it! Genew Neutral Newbie January 27, 2005 Author Share January 27, 2005 Guyz guyz, I started this tread to see what are comments on E68... ended up like machiam a warzone.... In order to look at things the positive way, can i suggest we discuss about mods that work instead. Eg Grounding, Resonator Removal. Etc etc. Any comments on CAI ? Maded Neutral Newbie January 28, 2005 Share January 28, 2005 So to nip the problem in the bud, turn to piggyback/programmable ECUs can? Can have 2 settings: 1. Save fuel by running leaner 2. Get more performance by running richer Does LTA allow ECU mods?
Madsumm 1st Gear January 28, 2005 Share January 28, 2005 Err... no (ECU Mod)
Maded Neutral Newbie January 28, 2005 Share January 28, 2005 ARGH!!!! That's it!!! Sell car, buy iPod, take bus!!!
Jhoo Neutral Newbie January 28, 2005 Share January 28, 2005 All the while I tot running leaner will bring more power/torque at low end. I guessed I'm wrong I read from some post that the stock ECU profile is rich or safe side, that why Piggys or Replacement to tune the MAP, Igition timing to reach a optimum power/torque. Also heard that running too lean is harmful for the engine.
Genie47 1st Gear January 28, 2005 Share January 28, 2005 They don't but if you pass emissions, they don't care.
Genie47 1st Gear January 28, 2005 Share January 28, 2005 Lean mixes are prone to detonation and will lead to hotter exhaust temperatures.

Maded Neutral Newbie January 28, 2005 Share January 28, 2005 ... and race cars run super rich coz they dun care about FC...
Hattee Neutral Newbie January 28, 2005 Share January 28, 2005 you seems to reason well in some posts. I'm afraid not this. Then out goes to the window that these devices save gas.
