Hi guys,

 

need some opinion.

 

just bought a m3 hb last sat.

 

was driving it at 100km/hr at ECP

 

but felt vibration on the steering wheel, foot rest and even the accelerator.

 

is this normal?

 

pls enlighten me.

Hi All,

 

Just to gain more information on a issue with auto transmission gearbox for the new facelift mazda3. Anyone having the same experience of hearing grinding sound when going upslope, normally at gear 3 and upon reaching the edge of the slope, with braking towards the slope, and when accelerate to move up, car will be shifting to gear 2 as there is not enough power to move on in gear 3, there is a grinding sound and hesitation of the car before it move into gear 2 and continue... This will happen if you are in that particular speed when approaching a hump on normal road.

 

Any advise or same experience from all here? Thank you.

i also think so. But when i send my car to mazda motor and get them to check during my servicing. They mention that it is the normal" operation sound. And that is all they do... so i am posting here to check if there are any mazda 3 owner with similar issue with the gear box. If there is, maybe when there are more complain that i gather over here, we can send a request to mazda and get them to look into it more seriously... :)

My ride is 2006 model SP 2.0

 

Mostly would think it is timing belt. I have encounter this before, during morning start, there is this screeching sound and when accelerate, it will become louder. But after warming up for awhile, the sound will be gone. When i visit a workshop, there is this old uncle that seems to know what is it when i told him the symptoms, he just use a socket and tighten real hard on one of the bolt in the engine bay, and told me it is done now. Ask me to see if there is sound tomorrow morning, without me paying anything. Nice ?? I pai say, then bought from him wiper and light bulb. haha...

Can go to workshop and see if they can tighten up and monitor again.

squeking from the engine bay area? Sounds like a worn belt or pulley. wear and tear issue la, not big problem.

Mostly would think it is timing belt. I have encounter this before, during morning start, there is this screeching sound and when accelerate, it will become louder. But after warming up for awhile, the sound will be gone. When i visit a workshop, there is this old uncle that seems to know what is it when i told him the symptoms, he just use a socket and tighten real hard on one of the bolt in the engine bay, and told me it is done now. Ask me to see if there is sound tomorrow morning, without me paying anything. Nice ?? I pai say, then bought from him wiper and light bulb. haha...

Can go to workshop and see if they can tighten up and monitor again.

 

May I ask, which workshop you went too?

ok... finally remember the name. this is many year ago since i been there. But anyway, it should be this "Hup soon lee- Yishun industrial park A" The uncle quite old already. A bit on plump side, very dark tone skin, should be able to find him. wear specs. grey hair alot already, i guess so after so many years. Either wear singlet only or never wear... haha... That explain why so dark. Ok try and feedback if he can solve your problem.

Mazda 2 : Boot door can't open

 

hi all - any mazda 2 (new model) owners :

 

anyone got this problem? i couldn't open the boot of my car; i pressed the black button, it just doesn't open; anyone got any idea? is there some button i pressed that locked it or anything?

 

if need to send for repair - any recommendation where i can do it at a cheaper price

Was the car started when you tried this? There is a safety mechanism which prevents it from opening when the car is turned on unless the transmission is in P.
