Singxmm 1st Gear March 12, 2015 Share March 12, 2015 Hi Bros, Just bought a Mazda 5, 5 months ago. once get the car the gear box spoilt and went for over haul.(paid by car dealer) Now gear box sensor spoilt, call car dealer and it claims that sensor is a wear and tear parts. is this true?? Need advice!! your help will be very much appreciated.. regardless it should be classified as wear and tear or not, i would be worried if eurokars doesn't repair for you for free. no parts are supposed to wear out in just 5 months. It simply doesn't make sense to me ↡ Advertisement

Volvobrick Hypersonic March 12, 2015 Share March 12, 2015 Hi Bros, Just bought a Mazda 5, 5 months ago. once get the car the gear box spoilt and went for over haul.(paid by car dealer) Now gear box sensor spoilt, call car dealer and it claims that sensor is a wear and tear parts. is this true?? Need advice!! your help will be very much appreciated.. I have never owned Mazda before, but there is no physical contacts for sensor, can't "wear and tear". Ask the dealer if he his phone got camera or not. and if the camera sensor spoilt in 5 months, would he insist on free repair or accept as wear and tear!
Bummer 1st Gear March 27, 2015 Share March 27, 2015 Also the battery, special Q85 battery needed, just changed mine $319.00. Just sharing that the Q85 type battery is quite rare but can be obtained outside of Mazda for a much more competitive price. Give South East Tyres a call to find out if you're keen. zerobim08 4th Gear March 27, 2015 Share March 27, 2015 A different topic: Anyone knows any car import agent that can help do imported car custom clearance, registration, etc.? I have own source to import cars directly without going through a dealer. Thinking of getting one for myself to save 30-40K, or with the same money of my currently bidding Mazda 3, get a Audi A3.... Anyone tried before? How to save 30-40K? The AD gross margin for Mazda 3 or A3 is about $18-20K only (before deducting cost for road tax, locally fitted options like leather/assessories, inspection cost, erp unit, warranty etc etc). AngJooHin Neutral Newbie March 30, 2015 Share March 30, 2015 Hi Bros, I'm driving a Mazda 5 registered in Sep 2013. It started to sound noisy when on the road few months back. gensity 1st Gear March 30, 2015 Share March 30, 2015 I think the new models that have Skyactiv very good on fuel consumption unlike the old models, Besides Subaru, i think Mazda has 1 of the worse fuel consumption among all Japanese cars. I must say this Mazda has a very good build and it's the only Japanese car that have Continentals feel and thank god they have finally solved the bad fuel consumption problem with Skyactiv. I just test drive today. With the new tech- skyactiv I tot my engine die off at the point of time. Btw does it really save a lot? Coz after a while, it need to use up engine to rev again. Also if say skyactiv will faulty? If yes how much to repair?

Do any of you own a Mazda 5 and have this problem? What could be the problem? Any advice. Thank you. If your engine was the latest "SkyActiv" unit,it is normal.due to it very high compression, idling speed sounded like Diesel 'chatter'. I just test drive today. With the new tech- skyactiv I tot my engine die off at the point of time. Btw does it really save a lot? Coz after a while, it need to use up engine to rev again. Also if say skyactiv will faulty? If yes how much to repair? You mean the i-Stop.?So far my Mazda 6 already 'clocked' over 115 hrs in stop time, touchwood,it is still fine, but last year just changed a new battery after just 20 months of use, costed $319.00. Mine Mazda 5 do not have "SkyActiv". So cannot be the idling speed sound. I only feel noisy when driving. Sound more like from the axle or some where below. Jimmylim 4th Gear March 31, 2015 Share March 31, 2015 I mean overall will it cause the engine to up lorry faster than usual usage? Especially in Singapore with so many traffic lights. well, to me cars are design to last long, especially the engine... dun use coe mindset of 10 years, cars can last much longer than that with proper usage and maintenance.if the engineers who design it cant even ensure it survive singapore conditions, then it fails. many traffic lights is not a concern. i seriously dun think the engine will fail u that fast in general.
