Quite sad to hear this. Think I will look at other cars with better fc

Almost all 07-08 MPV are such high FC...except those make later than 2013...

Maybe these 1.8 FC will be a bit better, but Mazda 5 is 2.0,so we talk about 2.0 FC.

In dilemma to choose Mz5 or Chevrolet Orlando 1.4 Turbo, can Mazda owner advice?

1. Price, Mz5 is around $7,000 higher than Orlando.

2. Road Tax, Mazda5=$1,300+ vs Orlando=$600+

3. Car insurance, Mz5>Orlando

4. Warranty, Mazda5 5years warranty +3years free servicing, Orlando 5years warranty but no free service by default.

5. For 3rd row, personally feel Mazda5 is more comfortable and easier to access

6. Mz5 no Push start but has Keyless entry, Orlando=No?

7. FC, Mz5= 6.6L/100Km, Orlando=7.1L/100km

8. Fuel Tank, Mz5=60L, Orlando=64L

9, Engine, Mz5=2.0, Orlando= 1.4 Turbo

10. Sunroof, Mz5=yes, Orlando= No

12. Mz5 MIJ, Orlando MIK

13. Dashboard, Mz5 very old or ordinary design, Orlando feel more futuristic

14. Airbag, both only come with 2 airbags

15. Rain sensor, both Yes

16. Power fold side mirror, auto headlamp on/off, Mz5=yes, Orlando=?

17. Resale Value, seems like Mazda better than Chevrolet?

Excellent comparison. I am looking at these 2 models myself.

Personally prefer maz 5. mainly due to the sliding door, and slightly more spacious 3rd row seats.

Waiting for the right price now...

Actually similar situation with you, my current ride still left few years, but thinking if don't change car now, few years down the road when my COE expired, i don't think i will be so disapline to save over $50k cash for the down payment of new car.

don't expect the COE will drop drastically unless economy crisis, and touch wood if crisis, will you dare to spend your saving to buy new car?

so decided to trade in my current ride as the fund for my Mz5.

just my personal thought, :)

Guess after a number of posts in the Mazda6 thread, I really ought to add my name to this list. Picked up my Red Mazda 6 Wagon in March. [:)]
