Chrtstriker 1st Gear September 3, 2015 Share September 3, 2015 Had been driven my Mazda6 2.5L for coming 10 mths liao. In term of exterior look fierce, power wise soso, overall quite satified. Your previous ride is a turbocharged car? For NA engine, better than the previous gen Camry + Accord - my opinion only ;) ↡ Advertisement
Maxngck 1st Gear September 3, 2015 Share September 3, 2015 (edited) Had been driven my Mazda6 2.5L for coming 10 mths liao. In term of exterior look fierce, power wise soso, overall quite satified. I hv been driving abt 7 mths. Exterior look definately is smthing to say it loud proud. Power wise to me is quite gd as my previous ride was just a 1.5L compare to current 2.5L. Pick up for this car is slow unless u step on the accelerator harder. The fun part of driving a 6 is to step on the gas harder during pick up if u not so mind abt the consumption. After it has pick up the acceleration, the high end part is smooth n power is good. Edited September 3, 2015 by Maxngck
Ccx2 Neutral Newbie September 7, 2015 Share September 7, 2015 Congrats! CX-5 is 2.0 or 2.5? And what color did you take? Mind sharing what else your AD threw in? PM me if appropriate. Sorry for the late reply... was away and then got tied up with work... didn't come into the forum for a while. we took a 2.0 black. AD did throw in any extra into the pot at all.. basic car with whatever comes with the package. what I did was to transfer the 6 Wagon 19 inch rims over the the CX5 with new rubbers to fit the profile requirement and traded the stock 17 inch rims/tires set to the tire dealer. Now the car looks decent like a 2.5, as long as the headlights are not switched on.

May I ask... does the 2.5 Mazda 6 come with TPMS? Mine was bought used, registered originally in March, and is the model just before the current face-lift. (so should be the same as a 7 mth old model, no?) The owner's manual is confusing. Asked the SA who sold me the CX5 if there was a TPMS. She referred me to a tech adviser who said it was in the rim. Did a rim swap, took out the tires and found nothing on the rims. No display on dash also so far telling me of tire pressure low except a warning to tell me to do a routine pressure check which the previous owner had set ... i switched that off. Next... same question for CX-5 current version... there seems to be a tire pressure reset button on the right lower dash area. Asked same question to TA, and he informed me that the sensor is in the rim... but stripped the tires and found nothing. So is it similar to the conti cars --> one of those with sensors built into the hubs and checks by rotation difference to inform of low tire pressure? My sad conclusion is that it seems like the Mazda folks do not know their cars too well. Hope i am wrong. Only just starting my next 10 years with 2 of their cars. Can some kind knowledgable soul please enlighten? Thanks in advance

I just base on my memory n hope it dun fail me....lol. i remember m6 dun come wif tpms. U c on the screen is just tyre rotation schedule which it can b set in the setting screen. I remember when i was in cx5, i saw it has the tpms button. So it shld equip wif it. But i m really shock to hear that there is no such device plant inside the tyre..... U can either call them or write to them to chk n cfm again. Anyway, dun wori ao much abt this. It is just an additional feature which is gd to hv n lost nothing if it doesnt hv 1. Oh, so u bought both m6 2.5 n cx5 2.5? Since u hv gotten the car just enjoy driving it.

bubblebath Neutral Newbie September 10, 2015 Share September 10, 2015 Hi, new to this forum. Just gotten my mazda 6 2.0l 2 weeks ago. Happy with the car so far as upgraded from a 1.5l. Would like to ask if fellow Mazda 6 owners know where to get the hanger (to hang grocery bags) to be fitted onto the metal rods of the headrest? My old ones cannot be used as the holes are too small to fit. I tried Autobacs but they don't have the size as well. It is really inconvenient not having this as sometimes got to tabao dinner. And I'm not keen to get those with an open loop cos deemed those to be unsafe (can drop off if too heavy and dinner will be splashed all over the car floor). Wifey driving the Cx5, but the few times I get to drive it, i feel it seems quieter than the 6 wagon. Sound insulation is really quite good and definitely quieter than my 8 year old XC90 I just sold recently... yes... I am comparing it with the XC90. :) FC... maybe my wifey has a heavy foot... meter says 9.5 l/100 km. I am getting better FC on the 6 wagon - 8 l/100 km. Oh so u got a wagon as well. Seldok c wagon on the road. Urs is wat color? no choice.. used car. Black. :)

Fantastic_Duck 2nd Gear September 10, 2015 Share September 10, 2015 Congrats congrats. U can start shopping for ur car accessories now 😂 Thanks! I was leaning towards the Mazda 6 2.0L but decided to go for the Mazda 3 since it's cheaper. With the money ($20k) saved, I decided to go for the deluxe version and $500 soul red colour... I figured I can use the savings for car cameras, paint protection coating and other accessories etc...

bubblebath Neutral Newbie September 10, 2015 Share September 10, 2015 I try to keep the food in the boot. u can use a small box / tray or use the side compartment. Thanks for the useful tips. Using a tray in the boot does make the car look neater. But as I park in an open car park, I forsee difficulties in times of rain. ↡ Advertisement
