Soya Supersonic February 10, 2016 Share February 10, 2016 Good choice Hybrid 0-100km/h in 8s, 20km/L fuel consumption, 7 speed dual clutch, nicer interior and better sound insulation At $95K, it's the best value for money in my opinion Seems like most PI still advertising at $98,999 leh. ↡ Advertisement

saphris Neutral Newbie February 10, 2016 Share February 10, 2016 Comparing Vezel Hybrid & Harrier ; You are paying 100% in ARF and get back 50% (PARF) after 10 years. COE drop apply to both. Assuming Harrier Grand cheapest selling at 128k & Vezel Hybrid X cheapest selling at 95k Harrier you should get back 14k based on 28k ARF ( No CEVS Rebate ) and Vezel Hybrid X get back 2.5k Difference : 14k - 2.5k = 11.5k Harrier Grand - 128k - 14k = 114k Vezel Hybrid X - 95k - 2.5k = 92.5k Difference : 114k - 92.5k = 21.5k 21.5k extra for Harrier Grand. Hi Guys, happy new year! Does it mean that the cevs for vezel hybrid is high? Anyone knows how much it is? Thanks!
Eaton 2nd Gear February 10, 2016 Share February 10, 2016 (edited) Hi, can enlighten me how do you get 2.5k after 10 years? The max cevs is 30k but u need to have min 5k for parf. Hybrid omv around 23k . So cevs used will be 18k and 5k for parf. End of the day u will take back 2.5k.(5k X 0.5) End up it become dealer profit .dude ....are u using ur brain ?If I can afford 100k, I might as well buy something more valuable. What wrong with that dude? 100k buy a vezel now or 100k buy a harrier after 3 months from now. I am using my brain. Kopites Supersonic February 10, 2016 Share February 10, 2016 (edited) Some can afford Vezel without loan doesn't mean they are all brainless. Hahaha there are many factors. 2nd car, low maintenance. Low usage, Safety concern (in malaysia) etc. There are people buying jap bnb car withough loan here. Maybe 1 year down the road those people paying 100 plus for harrier now might well wait and get a Mercedes, BMW etc instead. In singapore driving context you will never find a right perfect timing for purchasing vehicle. Just buy within your financial capability. trajet2b 4th Gear February 10, 2016 Share February 10, 2016 (edited) Thanks for the explanation. cannot believe vezel is 119g but HRV is 155! so much difference. Vezel has the latest fuel saving engine L15B. I think they keep the latest technology for Japan first. Edited February 10, 2016 by trajet2b
Andyngps 5th Gear February 10, 2016 Share February 10, 2016 Yes, he is correct but the recall ended some time ago (I think in 2014), so those who bought after that had no problems. Anyway, the Vezel Hybrid has been around for some time now. Buyers have not reported any problems so I think it should be quite safe to purchase.Even if got problem it will be a few yrs later for the battery. In any case, still worth it. The max cevs is 30k but u need to have min 5k for parf. Hybrid omv around 23k . So cevs used will be 18k and 5k for parf. End of the day u will take back 2.5k.(5k X 0.5) End up it become dealer profit . If I can afford 100k, I might as well buy something more valuable. What wrong with that dude? 100k buy a vezel now or 100k buy a harrier after 3 months from now. I am using my brain. No guarantee harrier can reach 100k 3 months down the road leh bro. Im assuming you are referring to the basic? Premium one still about 130k. But i really ponder how far more can coe decrease. Demand is really high. Many waiting at sidelines nia. If coe becomes really cheap, then by then what can determine a prospective buyer to get the ride if say demand is over supply?
Des_k 1st Gear February 10, 2016 Share February 10, 2016 Seems like most PI still advertising at $98,999 leh. Unless they are so sure that the COE Cat B will keep dropping if not I guess most of the PIs will advertising few K higher than the actual.
dragonforce Clutched February 11, 2016 Share February 11, 2016 Hi Guys...... in my quest for a new car.... I test drove the Mitsubishi ASX, Subaru XV, Honda HRV and the Suzuki S-Cross. I liked the SUV crossover Honda HRV "feel" best, i.e. seats are higher than a sedan and pick up was good although somewhat noisy. So I chose the PI car Vezel in the end due to its higher specs and cheaper price. Got my ride a month ago and been enjoying it ever since. The clincher was the relatively low FC. I am averaging 16km-17km per litre for 60:40 expressway/city driving. Any folks got FC range to share?

For my driving route, it is mostly 80% city driving and 20% highway. Best that I achieved was around 14++km/l but I usually accelerate to 3000rpm during standstill but keeping within the speed limits once speed is achieved. I may have to change my pickup habit for better FC I think hahaha.

So far FC has been around the range of 11.5km/l having 30:70 expressway/city driving pretty much the same as my previous Honda Jazz of 2007

dragonforce Clutched February 11, 2016 Share February 11, 2016 You hybrid right? No leh, mine is the generic 1.5X model, with no modiifcations. Then again I drive more on the expressways than city driving e.g. from home to work and vice versa. My lowest FC levels was around 14.5km and constantly averaging between 16.1km to 16.8km now. How come? ↡ Advertisement
