Hi bros,

Driving Vezel for 2 weeks, some question hope you all can help.

1) Brake Hold

When waiting at traffic light, I press brake hold button, the Brake Hold light On, and "A" (just below brake hold light) also ON(Brake Hold Auto mode I presume).

When step on gas pedal to move off the "A" light will go OFF but the Brake Hold light stay ON(unless I manual off). The "A" will light ON again at next full brake/stop.

Is it ok to let the Brake Hold mode always ON during driving?

2) Front sensor

The installer connect it to brake pedal to switch ON FS. So every time I press brake pedal always have a beep sound(quite irritating during jam/slow traffic). Worse if beside car/bike is near, the beep sound keep on.

(My friend's QQ1.2T have a switch to On/Off FS)

Any bro installed FS? How is your FS connection/activate?

1. I find it rather unusual that your car  is HOLD Brakes is on  when you are driving.Brake

Hold BRAKE as the name suggest is to HOLD THE BRAKES !!!  So to me it is NOT OK to hold the brakes while driving., unless you stopping at a slope , or a traffic light. So when your car moves, the BRAKE HOLD  MUST be turn off.

2. FRONT SENSOR - I don have this problem you describe.

Hybrid X was ~$95K when COE was $38K. Now that COE is $47K, Hybrid X above $100K liao.

Vezel Hybrid is a damn good car. 0-100 in 8s and 20km/L for a nice crossover is about as best as it can go. At ~$100K, no other car comes close. No reliability problems have been reported for this car thus far so it should be quite safe since it has been around for around 2 years already.

The brake hold light indicator on your dash panel is telling you have activated BRAKE HOLD mode. it will stay lighted until you cancel them or any one of the conditions that will automatically cancel them. This is normal.

once you step on the brake it will hold. you can lift off your foot off the brake pedal. once you step on the gas pedal your car can move.

Yes my friend's front sensor have a switch installed. he usually switch it off all the time.

So is it ok to let the Brake Hold mode On at all time during driving? It only activate when brake is press(I think it works this way but cannot confirm)?

*cannot praise u atm.

Your front sensor also connected to brake pedal? Or connected directly to engine start?

Hello Si4dr,

Yes it is ok to leave the Brake Hold mode on throughout the journey. It means Brake Hold is active and whenever you stop fully (with brake depressed), the brake will hold. Bear in mind you need to stop completely and see the indicator light up to show it is active. If you are still rolling very slowly, it won't. I noticed that today due to the jams everywhere.

For my front sensors, mine is also activated by a switch. You might want to go to a workshop to get it rewired to a switch. I personally find it irritating if it's activated whenever the brake pedal is depressed.

Im still on 16" stock, 60% city, 40% hw, econ mode always on. Average 20km/L or 22

I had my ride since jan 2016

Amazing fc. Some have commented that the hybrid has better sound proofing on the move. Did you manage to test drive both to compare? If not, how do you find noise levels?

Food for thought .... connect to the hazard light? Because most of us switch on hazard light during parking.

Brake Hold info

Tks bro. Ours HOLD indicator is "Canada" type.

If I am not interpret wrongly, the Brake Hold need not to off when moving off as long the HOLD indicator went off.

Good for traffic jam or road with many traffic light. LIKE!

talking about front sensor, anyone know who can help install?

I think most car accessories shop can do it

Neutral Newbie

I have driven my Vezel X for one week, very enjoyable every ride, I am ok with the noise lvl that most of Vezeler complained as I am a new driver without any comparisons. break hold is the function I liked most, which enable you rest your feet while waiting, however, I still think some rooms to be modified and make it better, really appreciated that anyone here could help me.

1, Acceleration(stop to move) is not enough, I saw some people mentioned E-throttle booster could help, anyone knew what is the e-throttle booster?and how much to install it?

2,the seat and turning wheel ajustment: I always can not find the suitable ajustment for both, turning wheel is too far away if my leg could stretch comfortably. anyone had similar problems?

3, I remembered that previously some discussed the way how to make power on to play audio while engine is off, could enlighten me once again as I can not find it?

4, because I am a new driver, my FC is terribly bad, only 10km/L, High way/cit= 5/5. what driving habits could save petrol?

Thanks,

Hans

indeed judging from the many feedbacks i gather in our FB group and current hybrid and petrol vezelians.

I did not manage to test drive both versions but sat on both. The Hybdrid when it is on EV mode (electric mode) it is so silent for the engine till you think the engine is not yet started...

As my ear is not as sharp as some, i am generally satisfied with the noise level even without any additional soundproofing.

Formula seems not to tally with what was shown using the Road tax calculator...I have called LTA and they also cant tell me over the phone...waiting for their call back....

Rebate is only 20% so the gap should not be so wide...

Had a call back from LTA yesterday to my road tax question. As Vezel Hybrid power rating is 22KW, the formula to use will be the petrol formula as the petrol-electric formula will yield lower value

6-months tax Petrol:

[s$250 + S$0.375(1499 - 1,000)] x 0.782 = S$341

6-months tax Petrol-Electric:

[s$200 + S$2(22-7.5)] x  0.782 = $179

Hope this clear up potential Hybrid owners on road tax payable
