anybody has the same experience as me?

when i step on the brake for auto engine cut off.

sometimes it will just auto start even though i am still stepping on the brake.

i am quite sure i am stepping quite hard.

is it that it is so sensitive or it has a cut off time or defect?

pls share your experience.

This occurs because the capacitors in the boot do not have enough charge to power the electrical components in your car or the air temperature in the car is higher than set for your aircon. It is perfectly normal!

Sounds logical.

But i do not understand why my capacitors do not have enough charge?

My aircon is set to 19.

155km/h hard to control Liao?

Hard to up than 155km/h?

140km/h stable?

Wind sound very bad when hit 140km/h?

I'm wondering choose Toyota Altis or this Pi Vezel.....

Personally I feel that Vezel is a much better deal.. But everyone have their own preferences and views. At this price point, which other car do you find 8 airbags, keyless entry and start, cruise control, start stop technology, full LED headlamps to name a few..

Haven't tried the new altis but I have tried driving the old one before (year 06) and that feels very numb in steering and acceleration and braking. I feel that the altis as a car get the job done. Pretty good interior space, decent boot, reliabilty is up there with toyotas and spare/replacement parts are easy to find for it.

The new altis if not the elegance one, last I checked, it does not even come with power folding mirrors/ leather seats/ traction control.

The Vezel's avalibity of parts and maintenance might be worrying as it lacks an AD support. But if you just go to the few PI workshops that are handling Vezel servicing and warranties, you will see that there are so many Vezels. Don't be worried about parts because there are so many Vezels now stockists would bring in it's parts to keep and Vezel being made in Japan, I do have confidence in it's engineering. The only worrying issue would be on getting a reliable PI who delivers what is according to sales agreement and is a TRUE importer of the car as the importer of the car is liable for conducting recalls.

With that said, do give both a look, test drive the altis and try viewing Vezel at PI showrooms. But don't think you will be able to find a test drive Vezel easily.. You can give HRV a go at Kah Motor but remember that Vezel is using a new DOHC engine producing 130bhp and HRV is using the older SOHC engine found in the old city and jazz producing 118bhp.

Most importantly buy the one that you are comfortable and you like. Do not regret your purchase. Cheers.

Why worry about parts for vezel. If Honda Fit and toyota wish survived 10years ago. What makes you think vezel will be a problem now. Parts supply is plentiful.

Hi bro, you may refer to this website of the manufacturer who produces the capacitor component for the Vezel.

http://www.chemi-con.co.jp/e/ir/pdf/CHEMI-CON_REPORT2015ep40.pdf

Apparently it harvests braking energy.. So many in in constart moving off and stopping, the energy harvested is not enough for the capacitor to power the car when engine is off. Thus the car lets the engine continue to run and charge the main battery in the engine bay and let that battery do the job instead

Yes that is true and that might be one of the reason why some people are afraid of coming to the PI/JDM side. Vezel is a good car!

How long does auto start/stop lasts in "Stop" status? My aircon temp set to 26-27degree with full blast fan and 1 car dvr recording on and 1 radio. It can "auto stop" for 1.5 to 2min max. If I off my aircon and fan, It can last close to 4min.

It all depends on how much capacitor juice you have and how much your electrical consumption is when stationary. Oil, water temp also plays a part I think.. Edited by K20VTEC

I know something about that but I just wanna find out how long as a norm and the longest duration that it can last.

I talked to one guy who mod his Vezel already.. told me 170+ with 1 hand driving with ease, another guy had overhit 180 on the meter.. Basically depends what kinda car u wanna have, sporty lowered and fast, or just the normal BnB car like we all have now.. or mod it like an SUV..

For me i'm just driving till the warranty ends b4 i decide.. maybe lower the car, change the exhaust, etc.. Car parts don't last as long, esp with my heavy driving.. so needa think in a few years time..
