so far, the information is not listed on LTA website but one of the PI received the letter from LTA and share with one of the Vezel Facebook group and another PI also posted in the group stating that LTA that did signed acknowledgement letter with the owner so that they can proceed with VITAS and so that the owner can collect on time.

Cut the story short lah...who is the PI?

Shouldn't you be happier since you got your car earlier than expected? or u missed your old ride?

I am also doing a check in this forum if anyone else face the same situation as me right now. I bought the car from ubi mega car mart during a car carnival in jan when the COE first drop to 45K sgd. A lot of people bought vezel that day, so should have a few unfortunate people like me.

And does anyone know if LTA publish such recall news and will put those cars affected on hold for registration?

Can't say I am not happy however if our car validity is 10 years than I expect to drive till last 3,4 working days. Hahaha all my previous rides I was able to scrap in their last week of 10 years.

Anyway that was then. Now different era move with times.

Enjoying my Vezel now. Nxxt wèek will be my 1k servicing.

no one here in the same situation as me? really damn unlucky for me... :TT_TT:

Don't be too upset, these things do happen, delays very common with PI for many reasons, usually inspection related. I don't think they will run away with few tens of k (which is the worst case scenario) coz that amount is nothing to them. Just look forward to getting your new ride and don't worry.

Hi all, i got a bad news from my PI. Last week, he told me can collect car on 20 Apr and go can make payment this weekend. But this week, he told me that LTA is holding the registration of the vezel due to the recent recall and probably can collect end of the month. I am a bit pissed already, he told me COE secured ( Which I checked online, its true) and VITAS checked.

Any potential vezel owners also faced with this issue? when the expected delivery date of the car is mar/apr after signing on the dotted line in jan?

Not just vezel bro. Common issue in the past and present...got your chassis num?

Whose PI has already called them up to send their car back to fix the recall issue?

There are a number of factors that affect engine start/stop systems these days such as air-con, battery level, force applied to brake, etc...

If you been turning up the air-con or maybe it's been working harder, maybe the electrical load is too much for the ECU to allow engine stop...

the dealer did gave me a chassis number which falls under the recalled portion.I just want to know if the dealer is lying or really telling the truth on the registration. i believe all the vezels are affected in singapore.

My Advice is NOT to buy PI cars.

If recall 95% of them will pretend nothing happens.

At $800 per BBC module (the recalled parts) multiply by estimate 4000 Vezels affected is a whopping $3.2M excluding installation fee.

When they make profit, they sells like durian season.

Can promise you the Universe. All can.

When times like this recent recall especially for an expensive parts they will run away.

Only responsible PI will honour this recall. Just you see in the next few months.

Lesson learnt DO NOT buy PI cars.

oh man, where did u get these information? my PI did not tell me all these details, only told me that they have submitted the documents due to the recall and need to wait LTA to approve, estimated waiting time is 1 to 2 weeks. He told me VITAS ready and car is waiting at their port.

Bro the info is from LTA to PI for VITAS test..

Just so you know the meaning.

VITAS ready means car is out of port and have gone through VETL and VITAS  tests. In other words all necessary procedures went through and can register car immediately with COE.

In port, means just arrived. customs taxes also not paid let alone going all other tests and getting the VAC.

Some PI will tell you cock and bull stories. they can even bring down the skies.

Buyers must know the processes so that you can immediately tell if this particular PI is BShitting.

but if you choose to listen to what you want to hear (fantasy) then you will be screwed.
