This is it..

But I wonder why is it a sticky?

Typically stickies are reserved for important info which gets buried if the info is not visible, such as in a sticky.

If a thread is popular, it won't need to be a sticky as it will keep popping up in the top of the Jap car forum anyway or in the reminders of those subscribed to it..

Anyone any idea. If remote batt flat and use key to open the door are we able to start the car? Remember immobilizer.

Also remote must be on you to start the car what if remote batt flat.

I don't think the compressor would engage without engine on

1 uber vezel kena burnt at northstar at AMK this afternoon. The BBC unit catch fire

Do you have any proof or confirmation that it's the BBC? Else later uber and the PI come after you for spreading false news which is damaging to them. (joking).

Agree with K20VTEC. The compressor is belted to the engine, so only when engine is running, then it is possible to run the compressor.

I remember reading somewhere that if remote battery is flat (or maybe low/weak), use key to open car door.

To start engine, place the remote next to the Start/Stop button and press start button.

But it did not mention if we have to keep the remote close to Start/Stop button after starting.... Also I have never try it myself.

Anyone experience a weird sound coming from the back every time you off the engine or lift the P brake? It's a sharp screech... you can hear it very clearly esp if the door is open.

The sound from switching off the engine and dis/engaging the Parking brake are separate sounds.

The parking brake sounds are made by the mechanism to clamp/unclamp the calipers from the rotors.

The clunk sound at the back can almost always be heard when u turn off the engine upon parking. However I have had instances where I was parked for a while longer before turning off the engine and I don't hear that clunk sound. I haven't solved that mystery yet but not really bothered by it.

Same here. After engine is off, about 1 minute later the sound came from the back below the boot. It sounds like a locking mechanism being activated.

That's normal when engaging the hand brake..

Handbrake engaging causes the screech. Can be heard on other cars with electric handbrake too. Theres a clunk sound when engine is turned off. That I havent found out but not to worry.
