[Error] Mazda & Vezel Thread

Vast majority are Vezel (or maybe some HR-V), but there are a few Odyssey inside, a classic looking Porsches in the corner, a fair quantity of Honda Jade and some Sienta and Harrier as well.

Frankly the HR-V/Vezel interior to me is just a mess of incongruent choices in shapes, the Civic has a far more coherent interior design.

Materials wise I can't judge the Civic as I've never gone to examine it, but I don't doubt that the HR-V/Vezel is better in this regard.

However, smart design choices? Is that ridiculous touch panel climate control smart?

Vezel/HR-V is doing very well now because it is riding a stylish CUV wave.

Agree. More comfy feel for sedan while Vezel only on the casing exterior while interior is more rigid or some say plastic. Guess not so nice for long distance.

Haha seeing the debate on full touch screen and non touch screen panel really want to laugh out.

Hmm probably go back to those 3 buttons climate control the best.

Or throw away our full touch screen handphone. Haha

Plastic or touch screen not the main factor in purchasing a car. Is the engine and our wallet.

i agreed with you. End of the day just buy something that u like after comparing. "ME LOVE VEZEL/HR-V"  :a-happy:

Because each individual opinion to a car is different. and you are the one spending the cash.

Buy what makes you happy  :inlove:

Sedan definitely more comfy and more stable on corners and high speed. But to me the selling point of thr HRV/Vezel is the magic seats. The ability to get so much 'cargo' space on the HRV/Vezel is really a plus point for me as compared to a Civic.

So many people dislike the touch screen climate control?

I think that's one of the best features.

Physical buttons are like so yesteryesrs of using Nokia phones.

I'm driving the Jazz and one reason why I bought iris because it has this clean look. Whenever I saw cars like Volvo that has loads of buttons, it just turns me off. Touch system, on the other hand, offer elegance and style compared to physical buttons.

Of course there are some things that physical buttons is still the best, for example changing the mode of air flow.

Is there a work-around for it?

I posted the same question before.

One bro share need to mod.

YouTube show some hack sequence, but need to do it each time when you start the HU.

Then there a YouTube show, without mod.

So I am not sure either.

Then I gave up the idea.

If I manage to put Google map via Mirrorlink while the car is in motion, I will lose listening to radio or CD because mirror link will take up as a source.

Volvo's a bit old school with that design but they're phasing it out. Still, I like having all those buttons to get things done quickly, you can dial someone's number really quickly with those.

But when it comes to these essential climate controls I really prefer some physical knobs/buttons. Best is the style used by Volkswagen group cars imo.

Too many buttons is not nice, but I prefer a ton of buttons over a touch panel you have to look at or might accidentally brush against.

I don't find the "like smartphones" argument to hold a lot of water, because with a smartphone, you are usually looking at it to consume the content. While driving, the stakes are higher than walking on the pavement and you shouldn't have to spend too long looking away just for something like adjusting air-con air-flow.

I always like the touch of a good button. I also think having a shutter button on your phone for the camera is better. But perhaps I am old school.

Agree with you totally.  Touchscreen is difficult to use when car is in motion as you have to concentrate to steady your hand to touch accurately (thus distracting you from driving which is dangerous).
