  1. Want a stronger marriage? Hug your spouse for 10 seconds every day, says minister Taken from https://sg.news.yahoo.com/want-stronger-marriage-hug-spouse-094845958.html KUALA LUMPUR: Hug daily, even if it is just for 10 seconds to keep your marriage healthy. This was the advice from Women, Family and Community Development Deputy Minister Datuk Azizah Mohd Dun in the Dewan Rakyat today. Azizah said usually when a couple get married, they start out as inseparable. “But after a few years, the flame burns out. So cuddle each other every day to strengthen your marriage,” she said in her reply to a question by Datuk Mohd Idris Jusi (PKR-Batu Pahat). Azizah said that the ministry had been promoting its ‘10-second cuddle' advice to young married couples. “We have been asking couples to practice the '10-second cuddle'. If possible, it should be done every day as it is good,” she added. Women, Family and Community Development Deputy Minister Datuk Azizah Mohd Dun says the ministry have been promoting its ‘10-second cuddle' advice to young married couples. File pic by NURUL SHAFINA JEMENON. She said this was among the measures taken by the ministry to address the high rate of divorce among young married couples. Azizah said a study done by the National Population and Family Planning Board in 2014 showed that one out of three marriages end up in divorce or separation in the first five years. She concurred with Mohd Idris that interference by in-laws had also been cited as one of the main cause for divorce. Meanwhile, Azizah also said that the ministry had conducted 48,506 counseling sessions with 129,626 clients from 2006 to June this year. She said that the ministry also conducts a programme called the “SMARTSTART second honeymoon” for those who have been married for more than five years. These couples, she said, are usually referred to by state religious departments and the National Registration Department. The ministry also offers a two-day SMARTSTART pre-marriage programme which is conducted in Bahasa Malaysia, English, Tamil. The programme notes are also available in Braille for the visually-impaired. The ministry also conducts financial planning programmes, parenting programmes for working parents and a family and community empowerment programme for couples. --Additional reporting by ARFA YUNUS. © New Straits Times Press (M) Bhd I hug my wife everyday for the past 20+ years liao leh........ The couple was seen exiting their vehicle and was about to lock their car doors when an intruder snatched the key and drove off.
  3. http://www.mirror.co.uk/news/weird-news/woman-smashes-brand-new-50k-4261551 A woman driver who ruined her brand new Porsche and four other vehicles just seconds after leaving the car showroom is facing a 150,000 GBP bill, say police in northern China Horrified Ping Ch'ang caused £150k worth of damage when totalled the Boxster after mixing up the throttle and the brake as she approached a set of traffic lights in Shenyang, China. The 27-year-old driver had just turned out of the Porsche garage and was on her way home when she suddenly accelerated into a queue of cars waiting at a red light. Witness Zhang Ko said: "She seemed to be trying to change lanes when without warning she shot forwards. He added: "We all ran over and she wasn't hurt but the car was a real mess. We pushed it back to the showroom where it is with the mechanics. "We'd warned her that it was a very powerful car." The white Boxster - capable of 0-62mph in just 5.7 seconds and with a top speed of 162mph - is expected to need extensive repairs, as are the four vehicles she hit. Police spokesman Ho Hsia said: "All the other cars were stationary so she bears the responsibility for the accident and is liable for compensation."
  4. Every 24 seconds, someone has something to say about buses, trains, cars or taxis. Last year, the Land Transport Authority (LTA) received more than 1.36 million responses as part of feedback over the phone or in writing. This is about double the number in 2007, a spokesman told The Straits Times. The surge is a positive trend, said Mr Cedric Foo, MP for Pioneer SMC and chairman of the Government Parliamentary Committee for Transport. 'As our society matures, the 'bo chap' attitude is gradually giving way to 'I can make a difference with my feedback'. This should definitely be encouraged,' he added. Political observer and former Nominated MP Zulkifli Baharudin said all feedback received, including complaints, should be viewed in a positive light. 5. Car & Driver tests the M5 and gets a much healthier acceleration figure than BMW's own underrated 4.4 seconds (0 to 100 km/h) Here's a little comfort for M5 lovers who had to get a little defensive about the car's official 0 to 100 km/h sprint time of 4.4 seconds. Now, American car magazine Car & Driver has clocked the 2012 BMW F10 M5's 0 to 60 mph (96 km/h) time at 3.7 seconds, which makes it competitive with rivals such as the Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG (with performance pack). The F10 M5 also covered the quarter mile in 12.0 seconds. Complete results of the testing will appear in Car & Driver's December 2011 issue. BMW has a reputation for underrating their cars' performance values so it's not surprising that an outside test could wrench a "little" more out of the M5 than that official 4.4 seconds figure. 8. Got this from an italian site, and translated the below with WorldLingo. Looks like a soop up Fabia, called Brisk Fabia (probably from it's Rally heritage) it beats the look of the new UK made Honda Civi-Type R, love this look. But running 0-100km seems a little far fetch even with a 2.0TFSI engine, but that is what the site says, bad translation though but you roughly get what they are talking about.
