  1. Folks, I am not a wine person. In fact, I don't even drink beer. I have this bottle of D.O.M benedictine wine which has been lying in my house for quite some time and decide to open to try. The taste is a bit too strong for me and oops... I remember I have a mild hypertension issue as well as a minor GERD/ acid reflux problem. And I suddenly recall that alcohol might not be too good for my health. Do you folks drink this and has there been any significant health benefits or concerns? Thanks for you inputs!
  2. I was surprised they are leaving. Every time return from travel will always get some beer and wine. Did you contribute to their business? https://www.straitstimes.com/singapore/transport/dfs-pulls-out-of-changi-airports-liquor-tobacco-business-all-stores-to-shut-in?xtor=CS3-18&utm_source=STiPhone&utm_medium=share&utm_term=2019-08-27 8%3A08%3A22

  5. Hi Guys, I'm looking at getting a wine chiller about 70-100 bottles in capacity. Information and reviews locally seems rather limited. Does anyone have good experiences with a good and well built chiller that doesn't break the bank (no Eurocaves please, cannot afford it)? Thanks.
  6. Any avid drinkers here? anyone knows any shops in singapore that sell sake, excluding NTUC or supermarkets.. I've recalled seeing some shops around before, just a handful as I remember it to be but my memory fails me. I can't remember where I've seen them. Anyone knows of good places? Much appreciate.

    Buying wine

There used to be a wine disti at around leng kee that I read a few bros here says sells wines inexpensively. I passed by but saw that it has been taken over by an Aston Martin dealership or something? Any one knows what's that wine dealer name and where they might have moved to? 11. Hello, I'm trying to look for a built-in wine chiller and place under the counter top. Capacity around 25 bottles. Some in the market are semi-conductor cooling which is not suitable to use in Singapore due to high ambient temperature. Compressor type should be used. Most I can find are freestanding type which is not suitable for built-in purpose (poor ventilation) Those buit-in type I can find are just too wide to fit. This photo here shows something I'm looking for, slim and just nice to fit, and you can see vents at the bottom. Does anyone have this at home or knows where I can source locally?

  15. Hi all, When I shop for Shao Hsing Hua Tiao Cooking Wine, I'm amused about the price differences between brands. For roughly 640ML bottle, it could be as low as S$2, then from S$3.60, S$5.10 to even S$10.50. The alcohol content is betwen 17, 17.5 to 18% (mostly 18%). In JB, the cheapest is around RM8 to RM17. Again, all different brands from that those I saw in SG supermarket. Anyone, prefer certain brand when come to using them? Thank you. Regards,
