I did car service in a workshop, the boss suggested me to replace brake discs, cost about $350 for front pair, my car mileage just 70k, in gentle driving style. can anyone advise how ofen to change brake discs in normally? thanks

Hi, Now there's a thread on brake pads, what about matching brake discs? Which are matching to which? For e.g Mintex? Which discs do you recommend for best performance? And what to look out for? Ed

Was toying around on brake discs lately, both for safety and aesthetic reasons. Anyone did a change of rear brake drums to discs before? Can share the pros, cons and cost of the change? How about upgrading front brake discs to something better? Do we need to change brake pump when we change discs? I asked this because for example, I change my brake discs from a normal lancer to a vrm or a vr4 one, but I still keep the original brake pump. Does the bigger discs worked in this case? Or it will actually cost more stress on the current pump? Generally, how to know what are the various categories of brake discs we have? Thanks for sharing!
