  1. Earlier 2 cars ahead of me never stopped for school kids and people standing at zebra crossing, I stopped and gave way. I was on smaller road and stopped at give way position, a big ass range rover was running amber to red and this guy standing behind me honked me to move. I am level headed most of the times but I lost and gave him honk and cut him but went my way (never played brakes game or blocked his way). I felt I could have handled it better to let it go, but I always feel it is unfair that all these bytches go screw others on road and others always have to suck it up. Just wanted to bytch about it. Have a great weekend. Drive safe and be less arsholes to others.
  2. An impatient Mercedes taxi driver repeatedly honks aggressively at cyclists and recklessly drives like a 10/10 a**hole. On Monday (Aug 9), a group of cyclists were cycling along the junction of Thomson Road and Balestier Road at seven in the morning when they encountered a rude taxi driver. The Mercedes taxi driver could be seen tailgating the cyclists as they turned right at the junction in the video. He aggressively honked at them despite not being in the same lane as the cyclists. Towards the end, the taxi suddenly sped up and cut in front of the group. The taxi then took the left filter lane towards Whitley Road without observing the proper safety distance. LTA's rules and regulations for cycling on the road While the cyclists received backlash for riding on the roads, it seemed that they were following the proper rules and regulations. They were wearing helmets, rode in a single file as close to the left-hand edge as possible and switched on their front and rear lights. They were decked out in national colours and did not use any mobile communication devices while riding on the road. Netizens’ reactions While there is a stigma towards cyclists, there is no need to be such an a** towards them. If the taxi driver wanted to warn the cyclists, he could have honked once instead of continuously honking at them. Besides that, his reckless behaviour could have resulted in a severe accident on National Day.
  3. SINGAPORE: A road safety survey released on Wednesday by insurance company, AXA, pins this irresponsible driving behaviour down to poor time management and lack of route planning. The three dangerous behaviours committed most often are going through traffic lights which have turned amber, driving speed in excess of more than 10 kilometres above the speed limit and switching lanes without signalling. Two in five drivers also admitted having answered the phone without a hands-free kit or text messaging while driving. They also confessed to tailgating. AXA said these findings strongly indicate a rising trend of irresponsible driving behaviours and habits on the roads. The survey polled over 600 car owners, taxi drivers, motorcyclists and heavy and light goods vehicle drivers. http://www.channelnewsasia.com/stories/sin...1153024/1/.html --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- i admit i use the horn almost everyday. just yesterday, one guy turn out from small road never slow down, i was on a 3 lane main road, (on lane 2) he turned out so fast, if keeping in lane 3, i dun mind, but becos for the fact he was fast, he swerve into my lane, then i got to swerve into 1/4 of lane 1, (split second check for car, no, then swerve) but if got motorcycle at the blind spot, i would have caused someone to be injured already. heng, no accident,
  4. to cut a long story short, i had a dental appointment at this neighbourhood dental clinic. 1 dentist, 1 nurse, 1 recept auntie. auntie called me 3 times on the actual day to remind me that my appointment is at 8pm. I told her i will be there before 8. reached there 7:55pm. one guy seated, one guy trying to register (i think. saw him taking out IC) so i just told the auntie my name and said :" Mr XXX, 8pm slot appointment" then sit down wait lo. one more guy came in. so there is a total of 4 customer waiting. 8:10pm, the dentist door opened, the patient inside came out, she called 1 guy in. of cos at this moment, i was damn pissed already. so i raised my voice slight :" how is the order of the queue going to be like?" she hesitantly said:" after this guy and this guy then you" i super angry already...." you could have told me when i stepped in right ? or call my hp earlier to ask me to come later" and i walked out of the clinic. am i too impatient?
  5. From Marine Parade Road, I turned left to Joo Chiat Road towards I12. Those bros who know this stretch of road, it is usually quite packed as there are cars parked at the road side parking lots. As I turned into this stretch of road, I slowly opened up a bit of space on the left. Suddenly the blue sonata cab sped up, trying to squeeze into the space I opened up.. The space was very narrow, maybe just nice to squeeze in the width of a car. There were cars parked in front, and I dunno why would he wanna squeeze in and just couldn't queue just like the rest. He came so close to me that I felt he could almost hit me anytime. He realised there were parked cars in front, and couldn't squeeze through (in the first place there were not any space to squeeze at all), he braked at my blind spot. I turned to check, he saw me looking into his cabin.. He grumbled, first showed the 'WTF' hand gesture, the kept his other fingers and left the middle finger pointing at me. He waited for me to move on then came behind me, started to honk at me.. but still had to also queue to turn left into East Coast Road, to enter I12. Red light at the junction, I was in front of Ding Tai Feng. While waiting for green light, I looked into rear view mirror again.. He pointed the middle finger, and kept emphasizing that gesture.. I showed him mine. Then this mad man, probably in his mid to late 60s, came up with many gestures, then started pointing at his in-car recorder.. must be telling me that he got whatever captured in his recorder! I didnt give a damn.. If I was in the wrong I would have just wave an apology.. But this time why should I? I drove on.. checking the rear view mirror.. saw his kept gesturing 'WTF!'.. Just lamenting.. It happened on Saturday evening, but I got pissed over the weekend. WTF.. Attached picture of the road that it happened..
  6. Really make my blood boiled... I was driving along Yishun St 81 towards blk 848 carpark . This blue 308 turned out from the blk 867 carpark suddenly , caused me to JAM BRAKE just as I was thinking that he might picked up speed to go straight so I lower down my gear and stepped on the ... The next moment , after turning out from 867 carpark from the left , just a few metres away. He brake again tand turned on the right signal light, waiting to turn into carpark 851! I jammed brake hard again... I was thinking what he trying to do? Then after that I also not sure what he waiting for? No car coming from other direction , still waiting there ... So from behind, I checked everything CLEAR! I turned in to the blk 851 carpark from his back... He HONK at me after that
  7. time: tis morning ard 10.25am ++ venue: on sle mandai upper thomson area. was on the right lane overtaking cars in the centre lane. tis sky blue impreza (SGQ 81xx) came out of nowhere and was so close behind me that i could see the passenger's face as well as driver's. centre lane was congested. seeing how close he was and with my boss in my car, i signalled left and wanted to filter left at the 1st instance. tis fella can't wait, decided to squeeze thru watever space he could find. but upon going into the centre lane and found that the cars there were even slower than me, filter back in. did this at least 2x. can even see the passenger's head swinging from left to right and the poor passenger was holding onto for her dear life, head facing the driver. i think she's trying to tell him to cool down. finally i managed to find a space and decided to filter to centre lane immediately. tis fella zoomed past, even though my car was still in the middle of right and centre lane. i was already going at ~100km/h. i think he was going at ~150km/h, at least. i took it that he has received an urgent phone call that has to do with life and death and not be pissed of by it. plus, my boss was in my car. dun wan to give a bad impression. if not, y drive like a maniac in broad daylight with so many TPs on the road shoulder today. and if u, the driver, are reading this, even if it is an emergency, u do not have to drive in such a dangerous manner on the road. u r not only endangering ur life, but also and especially ur passenger's.
